Ask them if the chat will remain how it was (appearing over the heads of the characters) or if they will implement a chatbox like in all those other MMO's like WOW.

The new UI didn't show a chatbox, but it didn't show overhead text either. My assumption? Switching to a chatbox would take more work than not switching, therefore they did not switch Wink

I considered going to the thing, but I figured I'd get beat up for not having any accounts left <.<

The chat will remain above the head. They are also making everything more user friendly so you may have an option to have both but for certain you will have it over your head.

The big deal is the hot bars. They are going to be awesome for everyone that does anything repetitive and needs things available asap. That includes runes, rune books, weapons, armor everything. It will really make a huge difference.

Any other questions I can probably answer for you or find out.

I have a couple of pictures to post as well as soon as I download my camera. Will, Myself and three of the dev team; Peri and Lillianna Rune were there also so we had someone snap a picture of the four of us. The screen didn't photograph so there are no shots of the program.

There were only around 100 people there because of poor advertisement done for the event but it was very nice. I think the highlight for Will was not so much the program but he got to shake McManus's hand. (The guy that does the site with all the clips of uo http://www.jerkass.com/mcmanus) I met him last year and recognized him so I took Will over and introduced him.
