My point of view:
I suppose I was more apt to buy from Goose, Golrath, and Rafman because I knew them all. I liked Goose and Golrath, but never liked Rafman.
Everyone see Golrath and Goose as dupers and scammers and such. But Goose has helped me in this game quite a few times. Hell, he asked me a question about where to find some program, so I took 5 minutes and found it for him. He gave me 10 mil for my time.
Golrath has always sold stuff cheap to me. Rather funny guy, too.
Do I think duping is morally right? No. Do I care enough for a game that has such limited customer support and crappy mechanics, and doesn't pay enough attention to the playerbase, to have not bought from these dupers and cheaters to enhance my own gameplay? No.
If UO had superior customer support, a knowledable GM staff, and actually put effort into fixing things, then I would have MAYBE bought the gold that cost 50c extra. But since I felt EA robbed me of more cash than they should have, I purchased it for cheaper.
It -is- just a game. _________________

Halister, in this post wrote: | It is more of a situation with them being re assigned to Kingdom Reborn currently, as I hinted at earlier, the "secret" and "not so secret" dupers may have another surprise upon its release. I also agree that they aren't putting in the maximum effort, I am quite active on stratics in protesting the current inactivity, and have corresponded directly with the powers that be over the situation, both on the corporate and development side. I'll leave it at that. |
If they are putting in the effort, good, though I still have some room to be critical and say that in cases like this, effort isnt enough, its accomplishing. So if their effort leads to accomplishment, more power to em. Until they have it implemented and foolproof, though, they haven't earned my congratulations. So we'll see, hopefully it leads to fixing things, though a lot of damage is already done.

I've probably bought gold randomly from a few different people. I have bought an item from Raf before. And yes, Vaen, he's Canadian. : p
Crepes own pancakes.
Goose is cool.
I don't care where the gold comes from. I don't care if anyone feels the need to attach moral value to intangible objects sold in an online game. Until UO really does something to control it, which they could if they actually worked for the money we pay them every month, I won't stop myself, should I wish to purchase gold.
So that makes me a person of bad morals? |

Haha yeah, Raf is also a Habs fan. :/
And yeah, Goose is real cool. Nice guy. Does a lot for people under his wing. Could care less for people who aren't. Same with Golrath.
Raf... he'll screw you over real quick. Not someone I like. _________________
