Audrina woke up and looked to the empty spot where Toren had been laying the night before. Her eyes then wandered down to the sleeping baby. She pulled herself out of bed. Her head was pounding. She took her time putting on her armor and then went downstairs to find Toren. There was no sign of him, so she worked her way around a mess of books and etched a note onto a parchment.

I will be gone for sometime. I must take the child to be raised in safety. Please pass this message on to Ceinwyn and send my apologies. I shall return within the week if I do not have any complications. Take care.

She marched back upstairs to collect the child and his belongings. She carefully tucked the child securely into her robe and then saddled herself onto her horse. As she road off the events of the previous night were running through her head. What a peculiar mood she was in...
