The Isk twins take turns entertaining their aunt. Athlon reading her a book of sonnets and Auris telling her the tale of his first win as Counselor, The Trial of the Royal Court of Light vs Isk. Savhanna has been motionless, trapped in herself since shortly after she was attacked by the Tree Folk over two years ago. Still the boys come to motivate her wake up. Angelique comes. The healer Beth and Lily Prower tend to her every day, bathing and turning her, brushing her hair. Her brother Liam comes daily and fills her in on the affairs of the realm and telling her tales of the season. If she hears them, she does not show it, yet lovingly they still come, after all this time, they still come.

Athlon comes to a line in his sorrowful sonnet; "Ere I'll never come again." Slowly Savhanna's weak hand reaches towards his right hand that holds the book over her. Just in the moment he gasps, her weak hand falls. Auris hears it in the stillness of the room. "What's that? What startled you?", asks the blind twin with his legs pressed to the footboard of the bed. "I think she moved, nah she couldn't have", responds the masked young teen as he sits motionless on the edge of her bed.
