Aryanna placed small flowers on the grave of young Gia. There was nothing left for her....

Her hand wiped away a stray bit of dirt from the lettering and she angrily swiped at it for its impudence.

A hand settled on her shoulders, Aryanna it is time to go. She looked up at her sire he had come to take her in to the ritual. Diablerie was a nasty business...

You knew I was here didnt you, she stared her face impassive at the tiny grave. You slaughtered your family Aryanna... Her eyes gleamed at the words. They werent worthy of so precious a soul. She patted the dirt around the grave. Her dress torn, her hair tousled her rich brown eyes dull she was nothing of her former self.

Aryanna I chose you you must do this for me...I could not bare it to be another, my childe.

The blood in her veins was a different color, she had been told it was a telling sign of the atrocity she had been commanded to perform. His own childe, his own childe. She had consumed him, her sire was no more.

Normally such an act within the clan would cause the consumer instant annihilation, but this had been commanded by the judge for his atrocity. He himself was to be dispatched by another, someone dear, for his crime upon the clan. Aryanna had stood at the trials pale and tightlipped. He was the last thing she had had to cling to.

It was over, and the time had come for her to leave, she wished no more part of any of this. Her mind was dark and lost she was a wanderer in need of guidance and the blackness of her heart began to spread......
