Pt. One

She didn't wait for the stableman before dismounting and tossing the reins towards him. He took them hastily and led the white horse away quickly.

Imryrr's mood was one of annoyance and those around her, backed away as she approached the cave entrance. Though none of the diggers had ever seen her, her very air demanded respect and for some, a little fear.

A bronze-skinned man sat on a stool by the archway, a dirty, slightly rusted longsword at his side. He looked up curiously to see who had blocked the sun's rays that had been beating down upon him all day. A female stranger stared down at him. Not to be intimidated by her warrior-ess appearance, he stood up quickly. This did little good however when he discovered that she still seemed to tower over his 5'10" frame.

She looked him up and down, then glanced for a moment at the stool he'd just left. "What are you suppose to be?"

The man cleared his throat to sound more authortative, yet when he spoke, his voice shook in occassional squeaks. "I..I'm the guard. Identify yourself and your business."

Imryrr's brow belied her sudden disgust. "Guard?" With a sudden thought, she tilted her head slowly to the side before lowering her face down mere inches from his own. "You are not Dark Order, and from the smell of you, you seem more a coward."

His stomach knotted and a cold feeling of dark awe took hold. He knew he should be offended but only stood there, shaking.

Her long black hair slid to the side of her face as she tilted her head to the other side, her face still only a breath from his. Her white eyes seemingly glowed as the light played upon her brow. "Who is it you guard? Be careful with your answer, for it may dishonor me."

Two gold a day was alot of coin, but none was enough to put up with this. Still, she was an immediate threat and so he carefully worded his reply to be as polite as he could. At this point he had no doubt that the woman would slay him if he mis-spoke. "The Dark Lady, Ditto Armunn of the Dark Order is who I guard."

Imryrr straightened up, putting a little space between them. The guard began breathing easier and even managed to straighten up himself a bit before Imryrr began shaking her head in dissappointment. "You appear as a vermin infested beggar. No armor and only a pitiful excuse for a blade. Your appearance dishonors the Lady Armunn, and that dishonors me."

With one fluid, graceful movement, Imryrr's long bladed dagger came down upon his sword arm, slicing through flesh and bone.

The guard looked down to the sandy ground to see the bloody stump that was once his right arm. Though he felt little pain at that moment, the sight of blood spewing from his shoulder was more than he could bare and he began screaming.

Pt. Two:

Quote:
Turning around slowly to walk through the great double doors leading into his throne room, Tarothin's eyes flared bright red. Sitting down on his throne, he could now hear cry's below to run and that it was comming into the keep.

His claws flexed, two of them bitting deep into the thrones wood. He started to feel the unnatural cold on his spine which made him grit his fangs together and emit a low sounding growl.

"This is MY land and I'll be damned before I retreat from it!"

That was when the doors opened to his surprise and what came through was Ditto. Obviously one that did not believe the servants words of him not being there. A look of great concern was on her face and a few tears glistening in her eyes as she rushed over to him to fall on his lap. "Please love...let us leave this place."

Looking down with a sad look upon his face, Tarothin just shook his head. "I will not leave."

Ditto looked up with more tears, "I will not leave your side then."

Before Tarothin can argue, out of the corner of his eyes, he spotted movement. Looking up he saw the mist that came through the cracks of the doors. Moving very fast, tendrils started to come out of it seeking the closest thing to it. Ditto and himself.

Standing up quickly he picked up Ditto in a fluid movement to only turn his back to the oncomming mist and wrap his body around her.

"YOU MAY TAKE ME, BUT YOU WILL NOT TAKE HER!"

The mist closed in on the two....

.

She woke up with a start, coughing from the dust that had surrounded her on the warm stone desk top.
She glanced quickly around the dimly lit chamber of the cave and sighed in relief, making her cough even more. She thought of the dream. It was more than that, it was memory. It had happened. And it happened almost every time she slept as well. The last time she saw the man she loved, her husband, her Lord. But this time it was different. This time, what stuck out in her mind the most was the fact that he would not leave. It was his land and he would not leave. That was in Dark Cove. In Sosaria. Far away from where she was, and at that moment she felt farther away from Tarothin than she ever had. If Tarothin were to ever come back to her, and she knew without a single doubt that he would, then it would be in the land that he refused to leave. Ditto now realised that the many many months that she had spent here in this desert, researching a way to bring him back had been wasted. The answers would not be found here. The answer had been with her all along.
She had to return home.

Imryrr stood in the shadowy entrance of the chamber, watching her mother. Wondering what she was thinking. Ditto had wasted enough time in this last ditch effort to raise the dead. It was an offense and a disgrace to her. It marred the very name of Armunn. And it delayed her gaining control of the Dark Order. True, she herself was not yet ready to rebuild the army, but Ditto's delays did not help either. The sooner her mother left this realm, the sooner Imryrr could prepare her own plans. She needed to be precise and not make the same mistakes her father had.

"Mother?"

Ditto jumped to her feet at the sound of her daughter's voice, knocking over the chair she'd just been sitting in, and in so doing, raising up the sand and the dust to get her coughing all over again. "Im...Imy. It's good ta..*cough cough* ..see *cough* ya. Did ya get the *cough* training ya needed?"

"Yes. And now you must return to Dark Cove. By force if need be." Imryrr said simply.

Ditto nodded her agreement. "Ya, I know, *cough* but force is na needed, Imy. Though ya tempt me ta stay *cough* just ta make ya mad." Ditto grinned up at her dark haired daughter, but Imryrr did not look amused.

Imryrr, in fact, was surprised that her mother didn't argue. "I will see you on the ship then. It is still docked in the same waters our people left it."

The tall, black haired, white-eyed daughter of the Dark Knight, pivoted and left the chamber. Ditto followed behind, coughing and hacking.
