The tavern was empty that eve. The quiet was soothing to Daey. The only sound was coming from the tent flap, gently tapping everytime the wind blew. She sat with her eyes closed, her head relaxed on the back of the chair. Daey heard a soft crunch and her eyes popped open. Across from her sat a person dressed in a green cloak. The cloak covering their face. Daey immediately went into dealer mode, sizing them up for the sale.

"Well, hello there." She perked up, sitting forward in the chair.

"Hello Ma'am." The words came out almost as a hiss. Her stranger was apparently male.

Converation was exchanged for a bit before it landed in a strangely obscure place. It filtered towards her missing locket and Galathan's description. The cloaked man pulled off his hood and grinned maliciously at her. "I saw that man in the caves near Sanctus." He said. "Well, what are we waiting for!" Daeynaries jumped out of their chair, opening a portal to Sanctus. They had not gotten to far into the city before a man in all purple, wearing a purple wizards hat approached them. The two men started conversing as if they knew each other. For a brief moment the green cloaked man was out of sight as the wizard spoke to her, bidding her a hello. Suddenly Daey felt an arm around her waist and a cloth pressed to her lips and nose. The stench was so pungant she could taste it. It only took a moment before her eyes rolled back in her head and she fell against the cloaked man.

Daey opened her eyes and tried to focus on her surroundings. Where was she? What had happened? How in the hell did she get here? Questions flooded her mind, but not for long. She tried to reach up with her hand only to realize it was bound with wire to the chair she sat in. The wire was cutting into her wrists. Thank heavens she was too high to feel it. She found out quickly her legs were bound as well, with rope. Where ever she was, it was freezing cold, her breath forming a frosty cloud in front of her with each breath she took.

Daey heard a cackle coming from the corner of the room, and out stepped the man with the green cloak. "What is the meaning of this?" She screamed at him. Before Daey could say another world , he pulled out a cannister from behind his back and doused her in liquid. "Hell! What was that!" It smelt horrible, like liquid metal. "Lantern oil.." He responded. The man knelt down across from her in the room and lit a candle, sitting it down in a candle-holder next to him. "Now you will answer my questions, or I will light that pretty face up in flames. Do you understand me?" He said, staring at her with cold calculating eyes. "Fine ask away. Considering I am not going anywhere anytime soon, conversation is always pleasant." She spat at him. Being able to say whatever she felt was a luxury only -it- could give her. The stranger gave her alittle chuckle, before continuing. "Now the man with the mask.." She interupted, "Jovrick?" She said questioningly? "Yes Jovrick. Where can I find him?" He asked softly as if trying to take the information gently from her.

"I don't know!!" She screamed at him. He took the candle in his hands and taunted her with it. "You can set me aflame but then you will not get the information you so desperately seek." His forehead wrinkled in thought before he replied. "Do you like mice? I have a friend for you to meet." The cloaked man walked slowly over to her and pressed a metal cup to her upper arm. Daey could hear scratching from inside the cup. "Now I ask you again, where is he?" He growled in her ear. "I don't know!" She screeched loudly. He took the candle and held it under the cup pressed to her arm. He was heating the cup! The mouse inside clawed at the cups rim, attempting its escape. The man tipped the cup onto her arm long enough for the mouse to dig its claws into her flesh. Lucky for her she only felt pressure at this point of her high.

The mouse sunk its teeth into her arm abd began gnawing into her. "Now I am only going to ask you this one last time. Where is Jovrick?" He asked once more, throwing the candle and the metal cup to the corner of the stone room. The mouse still chewing into her meaty flesh. She screamed her response. The stranger grabbed the mouse gnawing her arm to peices, and ripped it off. He threw it out the window and turned to her glaring hatefully. "Fine, since you wish to play dead, I will make you wish you were dead." He unsheathed a dagger and stepped towards Daey. With one swift motion, he cut off her right ear-lobe. Daey let out a loud howl, screaming in pain. Not even her drug could suppress this. Blood was trickling from both her ear and her arm. Daey began sobbing softly, her beautiful ear she thought, tears running down her cheeks. The stranger laughed wickedly at her and slammed a fist into her face. She grunted, her eyelids fluttering. Daey passed out instantly.

When she awoke, she was laying on yet another healer's cot. She had to find Jovrick, before the man in the cloak did..
