Garak the half orc, born of a brutal union between orc champion and ravaged magess. Not fully except by either race,a loner by force not choice. Brutal power flowing through his veins naturally.

The half orc knew not where he was. The place was dark and cold. He had tried numerous times to recall from the place but couldn't. His gate travel spells failed to open a portal. Wave after wave of undead and deamon's swormed him, only breaking for a half hour or so before the next swarm brought him to the point of death. Only his extensive mystical and necromantic knowledge had kept him alive.

He looked up through the gloomy shadows, the cold mists swirling around him. They had come again. He could hear their gnashing jaws as they shambled towards him. The smell of their putrid flesh had long since grown accustom on the half orcs sensitive nose. Finally his dark sight pierced the veil enough to spot the first horde. A group of about 8 zombies. He uttered cryptic words and a large ball of fire flew from his hands and engulfed all 8 of the zombies dropping them. But through the first walked a far greater menace. A lich raised his staff and whispered words and Garak's body was immolated in flames. He fell to the ground on a knee.

Reaching into his robes he grabbed ahold of his last greater healing potion and quaffed it. His burns and blisters healing over and whispered soft words to return the immolating spell with a quick follow up stroke of lightning. Before he could utter the commands of the spell to turn the potential energy of a target into volatile kinetic energy a fireball smashes into his chest. The determined half orc completed his chant and the lich explodes into a spray of rotten cloth, bone and dessicated flesh. Garak crawled over to the liches corpse and dug through it finding a leather sack. He picked it up and began to dig for anything that would help him survive a little longer.

Within the sack he found some regs and a curious black scroll. Openning it carefully he scanned over it and his eye widened. It was a translocation scroll much like a recall, except altered ever so slightly, only a few swoops of the words. As any mage would know though, those few minor swoops could drastically change a spells effect and intent.

Suddenly more growling came through the gloom. Garak looked down at the scroll in his hand and had to give it a try. He stood and began to chant those words. The final word of the spell fell from his lips as a massive energy bolt slammed into him. He vanished and reappeared in a place he was familiar too. Sanctus in the southern province. A smiled crossed his bloody lips as he fell forward and lost conciousness.
