Serena opened her eyes and looked out the window as the sun rose over the abyss,rubbing her face some she turned her head and looked to her husband as he slept beside her,"what could he have meant...?,"she asked herself softly as she replayed his words in her mind. Feeling his arm slide over her waist she smiled softly and moved closer to him,"i'm here love..,"she whispered softly as her hand trailed over his arm lightly.

She had told him the night before that she was with child again,he was happy but yet at the time she could see a hint of concern cross his face,"You will need to be protected...,"he had said then left her to speak with his brother only to return that night more worried then when he had left. Lifting his arm she slid slowly from their bed then leaned down to pick up her robe,"he will speak with me when he is ready..,"she whispered softly then moved out of their bedroom and down the hallway to the stairs. She could hear the servants as well as her daughter talking in the kitchen as she placed her hand on the door and pushed it open.

"Morning m'lady...,"Deidre said as she lifted Aaralynn up and set her on the floor,smiling as the young child toddled her way over to her and wrapped her arms around her mother's leg,"good morning everyone...,"she said as she lifted Aaralynn up and rested her on her hip,"has she eaten this morning Deidre?,"Serena asked as the young maid nodded,"aye m'lady..she has eaten and ate quite well..,"she said as Serena smiled then kissed her daughter's cheek gently,"alright well lets go upstairs and wake poppa...,"she said as Aaralynn giggled softly.

Serena craddled her daughter close to her as she moved up the stairs,reaching the top she sat Aaralynn down then took her hand gently,"ok...when we go in run over to the bed and jump on my side...but don't jump on poppa ok?,"she said as Aaralynn looked to her rather confused,"tell you what...I'll put you down on my side of the bed then you can wake up your poppa..,"she said as she reached the door,leaning down she lifted up Aaralynn and carried her inside,making sure to place the child on her side,"go ahead..,"she said as Aaralynn reached over and started to shake her poppa.

Serena could tell Varlan was awake but still jumped when he rolled over and wrapped their daughter in his arms,"ah ha..got you..,"he said as he began to tickle her gently then stopped and looked to his wife,"come here love..,"he said as Serena smiled then crawled in beside Aaralynn and laughed as she began to climb on her father.
