Just a heads up.
There is another Talon Skyfire running around, even more troublesome and irritating than the real one.
He has also made a clone Order of Sanctus.
You can differentiate the fake from the real by his clothing and guild tag.
The real Sanctus guild tag is [O|S]
The fake Sanctus guild tag is [O|S ] (notice extra space at the end).
This may be an attempt to dupe other guilds into war with the intention to cause trouble.
Just be aware. Don't accept any war invites from Sanctus unless you know it is us.
I also heard there is a fake MTC running about too. I can't confirm or deny that.

I think you can report this and have them banned. Or atleast have the guild removed. Impersonating players for the purpose of deception is against the TOS.

EA won't do jack. there is another HOT with a space in front and they are openly using bugs to scam and no one has done squat.

It's technically illegal, it will be tough to find a GM who will take action on it due to the equivocality of the definition.
Feel free to page on these players however to see what comes from it. |

This all relates to real persons, EA isn't going to waste their time with complaints that "his pixel character is impersonating my fictional character....well yes I got the name from some fictional book(or insert other), but that's besides the point, I have RPed him for six years and he is real to me" No two guilds can have the same exact abbreviation, and we have to be sharp enough to take it from there.
I too wish the GM's were more responsive, but this seems to be one of those areas where I don't see how they could be. If you look at some names, there is a long list of players with that name. Could they really slam all the other "Slayers" because one cries foul? And you know if they started down this road it would get to people filing built up complaints because they wanted to be the only "Dragonbane" and other people were confusing them with the other one who is a PK and has a different play style or whatever.
When it comes to duplicate names and similar guilds names I think we have to be sharp enough to tell the difference and do like Talon and just keep each other informed. |

I would agree with you if it was just the name. But this person went out of their way to make a Talon Skyfire character, as well as a guild called the Order of Sanctus, with a similar abbreviation.
I have an idea of what I'm going to do, though. If EA won't help out, and I have a few chars kicking around....

Someone gimme a shout when this fake guy pops around. I may not be able to kill the real Talon, but I'll be damned if I left an opportunity to kill a fake and say that it was the real one pass me up!!
