The early morning mist left a haze on the streets of Papua. Temptation prodded her mount forward away from the Inn. She decided to take the advise of the Archon she met with the day prior and to familiarize herself more with the locals and the area. She inhaled deeply taking in the slight salty sweet aroma of the air as the sun slowly warmed the earth around her and the fog began to fade. Already some of the townspeople were beginning to recognize here and feel more comfortable in her presence. It made her smile slightly and she headed to the western edges of the town to see if there had been any recent disturbances.

She made it to the outskirts and hopped off her horse. The only sounds she were aware of were the slight chirping of birds and the buzzing of a few insects but then it became eerily silent. Her ears perked noticing the change in the environment around her and instantly she was more alert. She could feel as if eyes were upon her and she slowly put her hand on the hilt of her sword and drew it from its scabbard. The cleanly etched blade glinted slightly in the early morning light. She took slow, deliberate steps as she moved farther away from the main parts of the town.

Here senses were peaked as she walked slowly and looking down she noticed fresh tracks, the monster was near. Perhaps it was too close or she was but some rustling in a nearby bush made her turn abruptly and before she knew it she was on her back in the mud. She quickly regained her senses and got back on her feet in the distance she saw the werewolf scampering off back to the woods. Her heart pounded in her chest and she realized the beast was going further away. The dawn was almost fully upon the land and the monster may shift to its normal form soon.

Tempt ran knowing she had to act quickly, sheathing her sword as she went, and practically jumped on her horse and urged it forward. The outline of the monster was still in her view as she moved faster. As quickly as it appeared the Lycan was gone and she brought her horse to a stop. She made it turn it a complete circle slowly and took note of how far away she was from the town. The woods were all around her and she needed to get her bearings quickly it was too dangerous to remain here. The horse was getting skittish...she had to get back to town. Deciding to go east she reached the towns edge again and became relieved. she needed to find Lord Archon Scaramandine to report her findings.
