She agreed with Will that someone needed to stay with Almael so she reluctantly agreed to take care of her niece. She feared for her sister. Time was not on her side. The longer she remained the way she was the more of the chance it would fail. She and Mo had talked late into the night last night and he had also agreed to sit with her while she tended to the pretty little girl so full of life. She looked so like her mother but with a hint of her da that made her eyes twinkle.

She knew of the celebration of Samhain. To many of more recent history it was called Halloween or the Celebration of All Hallows, or the devoutly religious would say it was All Soul's day, the day after All Saint's day. Many elves and pixies as well as the Druids and celt peoples celebrated the feast of fire and purifying of spirits. It suit well that Maelwyn would have chosen this evening for the ritual.

In her early years the ritual was never much more to her than a grand party on the faery hills near her home but tonight a life, that of her sister, was precariously held in the balance. Her elven background, her celtic heiritage and beliefs as well as her strong belief in the virtues gave her heart some hope. The combination of the spirits of light through the virtues and the powers of nature she fealt, had the best chance going to free her sister from her prison of ice.

She knelt before the ankh in the guild hall sending out her prayers to those that would listen, whom ever they might be. She tithed and then set off to the summer house to be with her niece.
