One late night at the Lycaeum a young sage named Padrick checked over his list of duties from the Headmaster.

"Circle four scrolls to East Wing...Refill Lamp Oil.....Clean and reorder North Wing...."

A drawn out sigh reveals the eagerness of Padrick for his evening's tasks.

Picking up a soft cloth he made for the South Wing. His most difficult chore would be his first to tackle, as he had always preferred to 'go downhill' with his sense of work. Pulling a flimsy chair over to the first shelf, he climbed up and began pulling books down from the top. Attacked by the dust scattered through the air now he began to sneeze violently and repeatedly. His biological expulsions rocked the chair beneath and before having a chance to recover, the chair below him wobbled and gave out sending him bounding into the bookshelf before him.

With a terrible crash the bookshelf came thundering to the ground, tomes and librams strewn everywhere! Padrick sat up, still coughing, trying to get his senses as the books began to settle. Just out of the corner of his eye he caught a glimmer of light! As the bookshelf fell a mini compartment built into the frame ruptured and out rolled a small, translucent orb.

Whispers filled the air...
