Alizia's forehead was quite warm, as her complexion became quite pale for her. Jordan, one of the other healers within Magician, watched Alizia as she took care of the patients. Her last patient, a man who had been in training, almost had his arm completely severed, called out for Jordan. Jordan had looked away momentarily to aide another patient. As he looked in the direction of the yell, he saw Alizia slumped over the foot of the bed. Her arms wrapped about her belly as soft moans came out. Jordan rushed to her side and helped her to a nearby bed. She looked upon him weakly and sighs.
"I am sorry. I thought I..."
Jordan gave her a very stern gaze.
"Ali we told you that you needed to rest. You are over doing it. I should send for Lady Angelique now."
Alizia shook her head.
"Isk and Angelique have enough to worry about. I am fine really."
Jordan quirked his brow shaking his head.
"At least let me tell your husband. After all it is his child too and you are his wife. He needs to know so he can keep you in line."
She laughs, it was not the first time she heard someone say such about her.
"No, I promise I will take it easier. He is bonding with Charles and I know how he is. If he knew, he would have guards at the door making sure I stayed put. He would also feel guilty for doing the hunts he has with Charles. Gregory said as long as I didn't over do it, I will be fine. I have seen my last patient for the day."
Jordan moved to help her lay down.
"You bet you have...and now you are my patient. Stay here and rest. I shall send for some food and water."
Alizia wasn't about to fight, for one she was too tired and weak..for another she knew Jordan was right. So she laid back on the bed and closed her eyes. Her mind going to the child she carried within her womb. She recalled how delighted and happy Eldred was, when she told him of the news. A smile curled about her lips as the memories slowly faded into dreams. _________________ "Nature gave man two ears but only one tongue.
