It was a quiet afternoon, the sun beat directly down on the miners of Minoc. The Minoc mines were busy during the day, with people working for next to nothing. Gathering ore for the town smiths, the ones who made alot of cash doing trades.

The young man drove the shovel into the ground, he jumped twice on the edge of it. He grunted and heaved, turning slightly he dropped the contents in a barrel. Suddenly he heard a noise, he stared straight at the wall infront of him.

The large rock wall seemed to be moving ever so slightly. Tiny pebbles of stone trickled down the edge. The other miners turned their attention to the wall as well. They listened closely and could hear the faint sound of "clinking".

After a moment or so of constant clinking, the noise grew louder. With each clink the wall shook more, larger stones were falling down the edge now. Again, the clinking grew louder. Suddenly a large portion of the wall began to crack, about twelve feet in length and only three or so feet high.

"Cmon boi's, yer swingin' like girls!" A voice yelled from inside the wall.

The miners surrounding the area looked alarmed, they moved back slowly. Their gaze was locked upon the mountain wall. The young man gripped his shovel tightly.

Finally the wall gave out, a cloud of dust and stones blew out from the wall. The area filled with smoke, the miners swung viciously to clear their vision. It only took a few seconds for the dust to disappear.

The first figure stood firm; roughly three feet tall, easily 250lbs of muscle, very stalky. He was covered in dark chainmail armor wearing no helmet. His nose was larger than a normal humans, and his face seemed strong and thick. A beard hung low to his belly, and two braids dropped over each shoulder. He gripped his pickaxe in his right hand and a purple potion bottle in his other.

"Cleaned tha' las' bi' pritty easy!"

Several other figures, resembling his same size, emerged from the wall . None of them with a drop of sweat, but they were covered in dirt and dust.

"Job well done boi's!" The first figure shouted. They raised their pickaxes and cheered.

The miners looked back and forth to eachother. They turned abruptly, dropping their shovels and pickaxes, and ran for town.

The stalky figure shook his head. "Damn humans, alwa's in such a hurry." He shouted commands to his followers and each of the small figures set out in different directions to scope the area.
