Sadira was all excited. Zarlox had been away hunting so much, it felt as if she would never see him. But to her most delightful surpise, she saw him in the middle of the road. She was on her way to the Hansel to see if anything was going on. But he ran to her and held her within his arms. The eternity of waiting had ended. They finally discussed possible dates for their wedding. It was finally going to happen. She had earned back enough of his trust, that he wishes to go through with it. She thought of whom she wanted as her brides maid. Her friend Maggy came to mind. It had been so long since she last saw her. She hoped she was well, and could not think of a better reason to see her again. The celebration of her love would be perfect. She quickly sat at the writing desk and began to pen a letter to her.

Dearest Maggy,
Tis been long, my friend, since we last talked. I do hope all is well with you. I am writing to you in hopes that you will once again honor me by being a bridesmaid at my wedding. I so wish to tell you in person, but with schedules as they are, I am unsure when I would see you. The date is unknown at present, but we are thinking Oct 14th. It will be at 10 pm by the eastern skies. Please send word if this would be a good date, should you accept the role. I do hope to hear from you soon. Please keep safe.

Sincerely,
Sadira Reflov, Countess of Sanctus

She looks over the letter and smiles. She has it delievered to the Hunters Lodge, in hopes Maggy still stayed there. Once Maggy's letter was sent off, it was time for her to rest. She went to lay down, gazing upon the ceiling. Her mind twirling with the thoughts of her wedding, and she will be Zarlox's wife soon. The thought made her smile as she closed her eyes, hoping to be whisked away to wonderful dreams.

The hour was late when she returned home. She had been busy in Luna, purchasing some new items for the lodge. She stepped into the light of the porch. A young man was sitting there nearly asleep. He looked up from his seat, rubbing his eyes and smiled at her. He was dressed in the familiar black and gold of her home of Sanctus.

Good evening young man. What might I do for you? she said as she slid the doors opened and layed down her bundles. You could have waited inside, the doors are always opened.

He nodded and came to his feet with a slight bow. Yes ma'am. he said politely. I...I didn't feel it was right to enter without permission.

Oh nonsense. Come in and let me get you some refreshment. Do you like cookies? she said with a smile.

A broad smile came over his lips as he nodded vigorously. His eyes sparkled as she handed him a full pan. He looked up surprised. All for me? he said with glee.

Yes and what you can't eat now you may take with you. she said nodding.

Oh! he exclaimed, I almost forgot! as he was digging in his satchel for something. He brought out a letter, a bit bent but none the worse for wear and handed it to her, juggling the pan of cookies in his other hand.

She adeptly balanced the tumbling pan of cookies and took the letter with her free hand as he blushed.

Sorry Ma'am. he said as he set the cookie pan on the table.

She got him a glass of milk from the larder and he accepted it gratefully. Now sit down and eat while I read this letter. I may want to send a response.

He nodded bowing slightly and sat in the chair near the stairs to eat the sweet feast before him.

As she turned the letter over in her hands and she smiled recognizing the writing from the many notes Sadira and she passed in code on the message board while the underground was forming to free Sanctus many years ago. Softly she said her name smiling. Sadira, a letter? Hmm... she walked to the fire place and sat to read the letter as crunching sounds came from the young man. From time to time she would hear a slurp as she continued to read. She looked up to see the young man still eating and excused herself saying, I will have a response. Wait here and I will bring it to you when I am done writing it.

The young man nodded and a few cookie crumbs fell from his full cheeks as she ascended the stairs to the second floor and then to the teleporter bringing her to her room on the third floor. She opened the door, went in and sat at her desk. She pulled out the quill and ink well and a fresh piece of parchment. She wrote:

Dearest friend Sadira,

This is thrilling news. You and Zarlox, how marvelous that time has allowed you both to rekindle what was lost when you disappeared. My heart if full for your happiness. I will be most honored and thrilled to be a bridesmaid for your wedding. Please let me know if there is anything else I can do. Perhaps if you like you could hold your reception here at the Lodge. I hope to see you soon.

Your loving friend,
Maggy

She dusted the parchment and blew away the loose powder. She folded it carefully into a missive shape and sealed it with wax. She then carried it down the teleporter to the second then walked to the first floor. As she stood at the bottom she saw the young man had finished all but four of the cookies on the tray. She handed him a napkin and he wrapped up the remainder of the cookies. He drank down that last swallow of the milk and grinned with the hint of white around his lips. She picked up another napkin and patted his upper lip. Can't send you out with a milk mustache now can we. she chuckled and he grinned widely, nodding in agreement.

She dug in her pocket and handed him a small bag of coins. Take this for your troubles. And next time come in and warm yourself by the fire. she smiled warmly.

Aye, ma'am. I will. He bowed again and walked to the door sliding it opened and disappeared into the night. She watched as the door closed and she cleaned up the pan and placed it back in the larder for future use. She settled in for the evening near the fire, reading a book of adventures of a pirate and his lady love.

Sadira was busy in her kitchen. She was baking another pie for Penny. She had flour on her hands and a couple of slight marks along her cheeks. Not what most people would consider the picture of a Countess. But she loved to cook, next to Zarlox, it was one of her true loves. She was busy dreaming about her wedding, as she made the pie. It was the sudden clearing of a throat that startled her.

"Oh my, how long have you been there?"

The boy just smiled abit, brushing off the cookie crumbs from his lapel. He then bowed her and offered her the letter.

"Sorry m'lady. I had said your name a few times, but you seemed abit..distracted."

Sadira blushed and took the letter.

"Thank you. Please, I just made some dinner. Help yourself to whatever, whilst I read this. You should rest as well. I will be sure there is a bed for you at the inn."

She then moved out of the room to the garden. She wondered who it was from, either Maggy or Ciara. She smiled as she noted the writing to be Maggy's. She opened it carefully and began to read it. She squealed slightly, as she ran towards her writing room. There she sat and began to pen the letter.

Dearest Maggy,
I am so happy that you have accepted my request. I can not wait to see you again. As for the reception, I would love for it to be there. Zarlox wishes for many to attend, do you think your lodge will hold a large number? Please let me know. Once I get with Zarlox and set a more solid date, I shall inform you. Once again, thank you.

Your Friend,
Sadira Reflov

She allowed the poor boy to take a nap before sending him on his way again. Once he left, another messagener returned with a response from Ciara. She once again made her way to the garden to read it.
