In the early morning hours, after having awoken from a restless night's sleep, Sadira opens her front door to take a glass of juice out and enjoy it in the fresh air.

After taking one step out of the door, she stubs her toe, yelps and drops her glass of juice shattering the fragile container on the granite of her doorstep! She looks down to examine her injury and discovers the culprit, a small statue in the image of a child placed precariously. The statue sits about 18 inches high and weighs a little over 10 stones. It is crafted out of a pristine, white marble and the face of the child is very noble looking although a bit sad in the face.

The statue was very dirty and was splotched with a dark, black material that felt thick and sticky to the touch. She grabbed the statue by its arms and pulled it inside setting it on a stand just inside the entrance. With her brow furrowed, she went to grab the dustpan and clean up the broken glass, unable to shake the strangest feeling about the new decor.

Sadira sighed shaking her head.

"I will have to let the decorator know not to leave such things outside."

She says making sure the statue is out of the way. She continues to fix breakfast for her son and Zarlox. After its done, and Vian comes running down the stairs anxiously waiting to eat so he can go and play. Not even swallowing, or so it seemed, he ate all of his breakfast and kissed his mother. He takes a look at the statue makes some remark about it under his breath about hoping that isn't going in his room and away he goes. Sadira sits at the counter looking to the statue. She lightly places a finger along the sticky material wondering what she could use to clean it off. A shiver goes down her spine and goosebumps raise along her arms. She gets up and turns her head towards the stairs upon hearing her husband make his way down.

"Good morning love."

She says letting him take a seat as she brings him his breakfast. She sets it before him kissing his cheek.

"Love if you see the decorator before I, could you ask her to please not leave things so close to the front door."

She gestures to the statue.

"I think I almost broke my toe."

She shakes her head as she smiles. Soon their house will be completed. She still could not get over the odd feeling she had, especially when looking upon the statue.

Early in the morning, Sadira came down and walked past the statue's normal position and went to the kitchen to prepare the morning's meal.

As an unaware Sadira walked by the still pristine and noble looking statue, the expression changed from that of quiet dignity to pain and misery. Strange things are afoot.

Sadira went about her business. A few days passed when she realized she wasn't having the nightmares anymore. Come to think of it, she wasn't having any dreams anymore. She shook her head thinking perhaps she was so tired last few days that she just did not remember them. After all carrying about another child while tending to a quite active one, was..well tiresome. She went to the kitchen and passed the statue. She had to take a double take as she looked upon it again.

"I do not recall that being like that."

She says when a shiver went down her spine.

"I am not sure if I like that there."

She took the statue and went to the storage area placing it in there. She took another glance at it and shuddered. She then went about her business fixing food for her men.
