The sandstone house was three storys tall and located on the western side of Legion island. The house right next to him was also in his possession, but he rarely used it. Two houses down lived Asher, Arcane Commander in the Sanctus military. The entire eastern side of the island was occupied by murderers and criminals. They recently took residence on the island because of the lack of attention towards it. Grigori found himself engaging in conflicts with one or two of them a couple times a week. He couldn't understand how one of the most powerful Militia's home island had been so deserted.

I took a trip to Umbra the other day. It was in preparation for my new goal, finding a way to contact my father outside of Wind. Seeking out a necromancer was easy, but finding one skilled enough to do this task proved difficult.

I travelled to my the farthest corner in town and confronted Mardoth the Ancient. He refused to do the task however, said he wasn't leaving from his tower. I travelled towards a place that some called "Charnel Hill". It seemed to be unoccupied, and no one was around at the time. So I let it be, I was starting to think searching was a lost cause.

I arrived home two nights later to find a parchment rolled up and stuck underneith my door.

You tred in dangerous water, you seek a power that very few have. A spell you can cast yourself, with the right ingredients and instructions. Ingredients and instructions I shall give you if you leave the right price. Ingredients you cannot get yourself, so need me you will.

Leave one-hundred thousand gold coins in the form of a check underneith your door and I will return. Meet we will, instructions I will explain.

I read the letter a couple of times, seemed kind of odd to me. I wasn't about to leave that kind of gold laying around for some body to find. So I waited for this mystery person to arrive. I wasn't sure whether to believe them or not, I didn't think I possess the ability to bring forth my father to speak with him when I wanted to. But I would give it a shot.

The next night, around mid-night, I placed the check near the door for the stranger to retrieve. An hour went by, than two, than finally I heard the wind blow slightly harder. I heard foot steps advancing towards my house, I grabbed my spell book incase it was one of the murderers that strayed onto my side of the island. It was the mystery person though, a skinny hand slithered it's way under the door crack and felt around for the check. I opened the door quickly and grabbed the strangers hand. In the time it took me to realize it was a young woman, I was shot across the room and she was casting spells quicker than I could react.

We fought briefly, until she decided to stop attacking me. Without saying any words she reached behind her robe and pulled off a back pack. She untied the straps and pulled out a small pouch filled with ingredients. She tossed them to me, than tossed me a scroll.

"Any shrine will do." She said. "Approach it with caution, and lay these ingredients out in the order shown in the picture drawn on the parchment. Than read the words in the order they are shown. It must be at night, and speak them slowly and clearly."

"How did you find out about my requests for a necromancer? And how did you know why I needed one?"

Without an answer she turned on the heel of her boot and walked off. I ran outside a moment later, but she was gone. I was left with a pouch full of ingredients and a piece of parchment.

That same night I rushed to a shrine. One that isn't very often used, it was located far West of Vesper, close to the shoreline. I laid out the ingredients as shown, and I prepared myself to cast this "spell" if you would call it. "Oke torn duc torn Oct torn rug torn...Tym Sanct Mani An Sar"..it carried on for about two minutes. Than I waited.

Thirty minutes passed and there was no sign of my father. No ghostly figure. No voices. No communication at all. The lady was a fraud. The spell didn't do a thing.

After saulking for a while I packed my things up and headed home. I headed back to the island that was no longer the island it use to be.

*a note is affixed firmly to Grigori's door by means of a black dagger*

You grow stronger, and that is good. I told your father I would watch over you, and so I have. You are quite the young man, now. I have something that belonged to your father which might interest you. A crystal in which I have bound his soul. He asks of you often. You can leave word in Umbra at the Inn if you wish to see the crystal.
