For many days, the people of Cove have put forth their ideas for a local government. But the one that seemed most promising was that of a monarchy. It allowed for one ruler and a council made up of each intrest group.

The Ruler would be obligated to serve and protect the people while the people were to serve the intrest of Cove. This government would mean that the people would be giving absolute power to the elected monarch.

Their were three nominated canidates. The first was the former leader, Jaren Nevarin, experienced but not favored because of his brutal tactics using the brute squad. The second was William Donovan, a widower and lumberjack of good reputation. Thought to be fair minded but lacks experience in government. And last, was none other than Adin. A popular favorite for ending the brutalities of the former government. Though still viewed as an outsider, His tactics to protect the people have won him many friends among the populace.

Today is election day, and the people will decide upon who will rule them.

The results came in and they were anounced by the town crier near the bank.

314 people voted for this election and of those 314, Jaren Nevarin recieved 17 votes.

William Donovan recieved 147 votes leaving Adin Blackwind the remaining 150 votes. It was a close election and William Donovan opted not to do a recount. Thus making Adin the new ruler of Cove.

The title granted to him was that of King of Cove. As his first order, Adin selected Mr. Donovan as his Minister of domestic affairs. He was popular with the people and such talent would be wasted to not place him where he was best suited. Jaren and the 16 (most of which were former brute squad members) who had voted for him, decided to leave Cove for good.

A rather tall and dark figured walked through the streets of Cove during the election, donned in a black hooded robe and a flowing red cape. From beneath his hood, swirls of red energy watched the people, especially the one named Adin. The dark figure kept his distance from Adin, but kept him in his sight. With each step the dark figure made there is a heavy thud and a slight crack of a bone joint. Once Adin was named the King of Cove, the dark figure lets out a small hiss as his eyes flare up slightly.

My City....my Cove....this incompetent mortal! Cove...was -mine-! This will take planning, as it is now more complicated...perhaps it is time to show Adin a small taste of a Death Knight...[i]

Illadar cackled slightly to himself as he summoned forth his deathly steed. Illadar reared the steed back as he rode through the city, towards the gates, not caring who saw him. Once leaving the gates, he flipped through his runebook to make his way home and begin his planning.
