Maggy set out with only her summer dress and hat and a small basket that contained her money a few personal items and her list of items she entended to purchase and have delivered to the Lodge. She headed to the moongate in Luna, her destination, the City of Zento. She had run out of tea and some of that delicious plum wine that was so popular among her guests.

She stepped into the blue gate only to emerge on the otherside into a gust of wind. Her hat went flying down through the trees. Instinctively she took off running for it and didn't catch up to it until it was lodged between some bushes next to the wall of the city.

Just as she managed to retrieve it from the grasp of a sticker bush there came the rains and the wind blew harder. The winds started whiping her dress around her encombering her legs. She stumbled against the wall grabbing for it. The rain was stinging her face as she made her way to the city gates. It was raining so hard she could not even see the gate she had just come through.

She used her hand to guide her along the wall to the opening into the walled city. With her back against the main post of the citywall blocking the wind for a moment she took a deep breath and sqatted down, grabbed her long skirt and pulled it up between her legs and tucked it into the belt of her skirt. Standing again she looked around. Her hat was stuffed into the basket she was clinging onto. It was nearly torn from her grap several times in the gusts. She didn't want to loose it. It had been a gift from Dahl, the Drow that would visit her from time to time. It had special value to her.

As she assessed the situaton, the water was already over her ancles and she knew she could not stay here much longer without going for an unwanted swim. The closest building she could see was a vendors house. She made her way there and banged on the door to no avail. They must have left she thought. Their windows were all boarded up and anything that was left outside had been strapped down with some kind of a home made rope that looked as if it were made out of reeds.

She looked down the street and saw some light glowing from a home far down the block. She could barely see it in the storm between sheets of water and flying debres. It was looking like a river instead of a path. She determined that she had to make it to that light. She raised the basket over her head in a futile attempt to keep the debres from hitting her. She stepped off the poarch of the vendor's establishment. As she did she heard a loud crack and then there was nothing but blackness as she lost conciousness.

Many visions moved before her eyes. The sounds of the wind mixed with the visions in her mind as she tried to get a grasp of what was happening to her. She saw Nico fighting orcs and then a dark cloud passed in front of her and the drow emerged smiling at her and as quickly as his smile came it disapeared again. She tried to pear through the dark fog to no avail. Where was she, she could see nothing, was she dreaming? Was this real.

She finally did manage to open her eyes and saw a strange man laying over her as the cealing seemed to be falling into her face. She closed her eyes again as his voice tried to sooth her fears. Nothing was making sense. Where am I. she managed to say. She heard someone ask her name and she replied as best she could but could hardly utter the words of her first name. Words of calming and sounds of a familiar but distant language was swimming through the dreams in her mind. She again tried to ask where she was but she never heard the answer as she felt a searing pain and all went black once again.
