Illadar had returned to his home in the frozen wastes of Caina for the first time since his return. His home was a wreak. Things were knocked over, many of his belongings scattered about the floor. The house is cold as death, the same cold that covers the ruins of Caina.

Blasted bears must have came in here." thought Bael as he began to clean his house, re-organizing his rune books and his magical items. While sorting through a few of his books on Necromancy and Magic, he came across an old leather book with runes inscribed on it. As Illadar opened the book, he read the contents.

My old spellbook...I thought I threw this blasted thing out.

Illadar glanced over a few of the spells and remember his time as a mortal, when magery was his prime focus. After becoming a Death Knight, Illadar had cast his spellbook to the side to pick up the art of fighting with swords. He had forgotten all about the ways of magery. He only knew Necromancy.

Illadar stood, the book open in his skeletal hands as he looked at a few of the basic and intermediate spells. Glancing at the fireball spell, he walks outside to the bears that roam the land. Running his skeletal fingers over the words of power, he utters them and then throws his skeletal hands out at one of the bears, expecting the spell to fizzle. To Illadar's surprise, a glowing ball of fire eminates from his boney hand and slams into the bear, burning its hair but only pissing it off. Illadar then finished the bear off with his Necromantic spell of Wither, freezing the bear solid.

Grinding his lower jaw into his upper teeth, he returns inside his home.

So...I can still tap into the magic of the world. Perhaps this will aid me yet once again...

Illadar went upstairs and placed his sword and shield into one of his empty chests, and packed his spellbook into his pack as he went off to wander the ruins of Caina to test his magery...and to strengthen his power in it once again.
