Kotare stood atop his home and gazed out across the encroaching dusk that engulfed the land. Darkness always brought sorrow and misery in his mind. It always reminded him of his death. It seemed so long ago that he was destined to rule his old kingdom. Instead, his days were marked in failure. Brooding the loss of his family all this time, his torment is all he can bear and no one knows the conflict within. Anna had sired him and unwittingly made his torment last for an eternity.

Suffering, Kotare wepted as nothing seemed to cure his curse. Looking deep into his mind, you would find all he desires is peace of mind. But chaos and torment are all he knows and all his gifts to the realm seem futile to himself. Honor, integrity and love all ment nothing now. When Anna became human, all he knew as family died inside. For many years went by and he walked alone. Weaping in the shadows over his lonliness. Now that the Dark Awakening had returned, and Anna was once again of his kin, He is unsure of everything now. Unforgiven for his abandonment, Anna is kept distant. All Kotare wants to do now is show her how he has felt all this time. And show her he shall....
