"Your Grace,

I wish good health and prosperity to you and yours.

It has been a hard decision, but I must withdraw my request to have the Royal Court consider sanctioning the government in Papua that I made at the end of the last meeting, and I will remove myself from the Court's meetings henceforth.

After much consideration of all elements involved in being a member of your Grand and Noble Court, I now believe that my presence there would only serve to further inflame those who proclaim the hypocrisy of your regime and others like it. I would not want you subjected to that, as I respect you too highly to put you through it.

And as it has been made clear that they are intent on making their brand of "Virtuism" heard above all others, continually inciting verbal warfare with their taunts and mockery; arriving extremely late at your meetings and leaving early with a snobbish flourish whenever something is decided that ruffles their pristine feathers; inundating the lands with barbaric publications: treatises, edicts, and crude cartoons without any remorse or restraint, unbefitting the lowest knave much less royalty; shamelessly spewing lewd comments to the fairer sex... I frankly find the entire affair repugnant and the atmosphere at the meetings suffocating and rank when they are present in numbers above one.

If and when their presence and influence there is culled by good sense on their part (something of which I hold no illusions, much less hope for) or by sheer boredom, or the renunciation of their view of the Court's direction (which by this I am hoping to facilitate), or by the Court's censure of them and their troglodyte mannerisms, then I would be honored and disposed to return if you deem me worthy. But observing their present state of mind, it would be wise for you to expect my departure to be permanent.

I am positive your compatriots to the south will delight in my decision (they should if they are true to their accusations against the Court) but not a whit more so than do I.

Despite my exit from your Noble Court, please know that I will remain your friend, if you so permit.
