[Tai Kwan Leap]

Tai Kwan sat staring at various maps and placing markers about them in a varying shades to represent their sworn loyalties.

He stared long at hard at the maps and markers beginning at dawn. At noon he brushed away the ones bringing his midday meal. Two hours later they arrived to take the untouched food away.

At the sixth bell after midday they arrived again to find him in the same position staring at the maps. When the ninth bell tolled they arrived and removed more untouched food.

As the eleventh bell chimed they arrived to tell him his bed had been turned back. He was yet in the same position.

"Emperor, have we dishonored you" the head servant asked.

"Green tea" the Emperor spoke.

As they brought in his favored blend and set it to brewing, he slowly stood.

He walked to the maps and stared one last time and then with a sweep of his hand he knocked the markers away.

They poured him a cup and he lifted it slurping loudly to show his pleasure at the honorable blend.

"There are times when the student must teach the master a lesson" Tai Kwan says setting down markers of a unified color.

"Make sure this is delivered to Lord Isk, and tell him that I said, 'The Game is afoot.'"

The final bell of the night tolled as the secretary made copies and sent the messages along.
