MaryAnne tossed and turned in her sleep. Images of her past jumbled and confused within her mind. Flashes of people she didn't recall, with images of people she had become friends with, as MaryAnne. Her eyes opened wide, as she pushed herself up and back against the head of the bed. She pulled her knees up to her chest and wrapped her arms about them.

Am I truly this Sadira? If so are these dreams actually my memory?

She just shook her head. Zarlox words always caressing her mind as she closed her eyes. His vow of love for her..or at least for Sadira. She could see how truly in love he was with her, and how he did believe that she, MaryAnne, was this woman Sadira. She flinched as she recalled the anger in his tone, when she defended brother Gregory. He swore that the man who had aided her for a year is the same man that is a sworn enemy of Zarlox. The things that this Bailos had done, she could not imagine Brother Gregory being the same man. Perhaps he did work for him or helped by taking her in. If she truly was this Sadira woman. She leaned over to the night stand pulling out a parchment and a book. She opened the book to where his name was written clearly. Her eyes darted from the parchment to journal entry. She studied every aspect of Zarlox's name. The writing was the same. Not one bit of difference....every letter in the journal exactly like the one on the parchment. The journal had been Sadira's and the parchment, is what MaryAnne wrote on. A sharp pain coarsed through her head as she swung her hands out pushing the journal and parchment off the bed.

"Damnit! Why can't I remember"

She yelled out in frustration and pain. It was not that she didn't want to be this Sadira. For this woman seemed to have had it all. Friends who cared for her, a man who was beyond any dream that MaryAnne could manifest on her own...that loved her from the true depths of his soul. Her heart knew Zarlox the minute she laid eyes on him. Though she knew not his name or where he was from at that time. But he was so familiar to her...so safe. She tried to will away the headache that threaten to make her head explode. Her promise to Zarlox to never again take the medicine or poison as he put it...haunted her. Not that it truly mattered, as she was left with none. She tried to think of pleasant thoughts, Zarlox. His image..his touch...his voice all combined softly caressed her very soul as she recalled recent memories. Ones that she did remember and ones she knew were hers. Then Bailos invaded her thoughts. If this man was truly as evil as Zarlox said...could he not be using her now? Bailos seemed to know how deeply Zarlox's love ran for Sadira. Could he not have formed her to that image for some other sinister plan? If so, where would that leave her? She may not know what her true identity is, but she was certain of one thing. She was in love with Zarlox. Question was, would her love be enough to either overcome his love for Sadira, or to finally work through to the truth of who she is. She just sat there, hugging tightly her knees, waiting and watching for a new day to begin.
