It was ironic that such a mass catastrophe should plague the poor town of Skara Brae all at once. Invading forces arriving across the waters. Meanwhile a rather large and noisy bird, just outside the village of Skara Brae, accosts a figure in black. Mimus what in Zog's name are you doing! The bird landed with a thump,with several packages wrapped up and tied to its legs. And a note, she knew right away from the red ink drying on the outside of the package this was no response from Cear. Eagerly she read Xandria's note:

However, I have a plan. I am sending Mimic with a few dolls with daemons in them. Let us test the theory, to see if an island will get enough water to free the daemons. After all, we can hardly be blamed for them, if they are there already. Who would really notice a daemon or ten more?

Come Mimus we have work to do, wait what’s this, EAT THE NOTE? SHE KNOWS I CANT EAT THE NOTE. Shade pondered a bit and pulled out a jar with a live pixie within it that she had been saving for Mimus. The bird hopped forward eagerly, just a moment my pet….

She grasped the pixie in her hand, if you want to go free open your mouth and eat this. The pixie blinked, why not just burn it? Shade smiled, this is much more fun. She began tearing pieces of paper into bits and forcing them down the pixies throat until the note was gone. You said you would let me go free. Indeed I did. She released the pixie, disoriented it hovered for a moment, and being weighted down by the parchment in her bellyit gave Shade's pet bird Mimus to leap forward gobble down the pixie.

Good Job my pet! Now come, by this time tomorrow the town of Skara will have a few new rather large, mean, and reddish in color; invaders or perhaps guests?

Xandria saw the wisp coming and frowned, staring at it. She took the note from it, and opened it to read.

Sister Xandria,

I was in Feluccia Yew yesterday speaking with various members of the Pheonix. There is no one source to this Pheonix, but multiple entities. Heading i -believe-, is William the crusader of the Lion Knights. See me in person-

Xandria laughed, seeing the sister in front of her name. She wrote back to Cear, grinning.

Dearest leader type person who is in no way related to me,

I just wanted to inform you, as you stated if I did anything that might cause a war, that I am unleashind deamons in Skara. No need to worry, just giving you the information, really.

Laughing, she gave the letter to the wisp, waving it away. She remembered William, who always seemed to want to fight Toren. Not a bad thing, really, she supposed. Shrugging, uncaring who he was really, she recalled to Skara Brae and sat down to watch the havoc ensue.

As Shade sat the last and final doll near a well an idea occurred to her. Perhaps, just perhaps she had better send a note to Cear.

Dearest Cear,

You may be angry (and one can only hope that, ) I mean I suddenly realized, that you may beat me or poison me or do something wonderfully terrible to me, for what I have just done, but it seems there may be a few demon dolls placed strategically near water as a sort of test. They may, also be located in the town of Skara Brae. It occurred to me that you might, want, to know.
