The right arm of Jode Bonewits, the very channel created by Norture himself to deliver the Oblivion energies to fuel that whom was Jode Bonewits, slowly began to fade in the passing days. For reasons unbeknownst to him, the very power which had transmuted that original daemonic channel into a tool of corruption for Oblivions will was turning to no more than a simple memory. Everytime he looked upon the arm now, all that remained was the normal arm of that which Dan had always had.

...and deep inside him, the shrouded darkness of that which held the soul of Dan at bay, the very soul which binded him to make no movements, no uprisings within the being of Jode, now diminished. The shroud of darkness fell back into nothingness, and in this Dan found control over his own body to a degree once again, but forever changed. Perhaps in due time his body would heal and return to normal, but for now the identity that was Jode Bonewits remained, ever strong. Was it truly Oblivion that guided his actions to that of Jode Bonewits, or was this, in all actuality, truly a deeper self in which he had never untapped?

Many questions unanswered, Jode clasped his right palm to reassure himself that nothing had truly changed, that he had grown independent from the energies in his mannerisms of always being away from the Umbran lands as he had.

He had grown independent, that had to be it.

...but he could not deny that his old counterpart, his view of life, his morals, would give rise once again and eventually take over. If that were to happen, then the tables would be turned, and in due time Dan himself would hold control of Jode Bonewits, and bind HIM to the inner pysche of his mind. Such a though disgusts Jode, and that was all the motivation he needed to continue his search to discover a new body.

Oblivion was dead now, in his arm, but the answers would come in due time, but for now he had to find whatever remaining fleshmancer he could within the blasted Umbran lands now.

He needed an escape.

The purge was coming.
