Baron Mordegan welcomed his guest as they entered the Stout and Anchor in Strathnavar on Serpent's Isle.

The Captain of the Strathnavar ship, The Avenger, came in the tavern and indicated that the ship was ready for departure.

Baron Mordegan clapped his hands together to get everyone's attention.

"It is time we depart for the fishing grounds. Let's make our way to the boat"

The Captain casted off the lines and unfurled the sails into the easterly winds.

The winds blew strong filling out the main sails. Sea spray splashed over the bow as the Avenger cut thru the water like an arrow. Baron Mordegan watched his guest intermingle, indulging in rum and ale. Inhaling deeply Baron Mordegan allowed the salt air penetrate deeply into lungs.

"Sir, we are at the fishing grounds" interrupted the Captain.

"Very Well" said Baron Mordegan "prepare the nets"

The crew openegd the cargo hold and proceeded to toss net after net into the deep blue water.

Minutes passed and the water began the churn around the ship.

The First mate yelled " Here come the beasts! prepare thyselves"

Each man and woman onboard wielded there personal weapons or recited spells and incantations in order to defeat the fast surfacing beasts. Suddenly, the ocean surface exploded as the creatures attacked the ship. Both crew and guest heroically fought them off and after each battle the creatures were harvested.

After many hours the Captain decided to head back to Serpent's Hold but was intrigued at a map found in a bottle. The Captain discussed with the Baron that it would be a missed opportunity not to recover whatever it was that the map was holding secret. It was decided that mystery must be solved. The Avenger sailed and met up with another ship whose Captain had the experience and knowledge to aid in this recovery effort. under the direction of the visiting Captain, the Avenger arrived at the location on the map.

Salvage operations began immediately: Art, Furnishing a nd even human remains were recovered. The prize of the day was the metal chest hauled aboard which contained old parchments, weapons, valuable gems and gold.

It was nearing dusk and the Captain suggested we return to Serpent's Hold. Upon arrival the crew off loaded the bounty into the tavern to examine further and to recall tales of battle that happened that day.

Leo the Tavernkeep was not to pleased to clean the mess that was left behind.
