Blood dripped from his kryss as he hung it low at his side. The crowd of bodies around him all lay still, with piece wounds in various parts of their body. Bandits, to be sure, but what a crude and poorly planned ambush these men had planned. Then again though, Jode only appeared as one man, he only apperaed as a single traveling strange traveling on his way in the dark roads of Britannia. It had been some time since he had last really found personal reason to report back to his order. There just...didn't seem much of a reason to him.

"They'll find you, you know. You can't escape from them." said Dan, the original spirit of the body that Jode now hosted. He posed little threat to him now, and in all reality had been quite comfortable in his council of Jode's new mission.

"Silence" he spoke, and without another word Dan said no more. His spirit was broken, Jode knew, but he also knew that the only reason he had been cooperating with him for so long now is because of his search for a new body. A new body that may serve his needs, a body he may possess so that he might rid himself of this inner counterpart of his and have complete control of himself. This though, could only be achieved through fleshcrafting, and a fleshcrafter was rare in such days. Still though, he had to try, and not even a ragtag group of bandits would stand in his way. Looking out at their corpses once again, Jode pulled out a small cloth from his back pouch, behind his newly stained warfork's of the accursed Steel's blood.

As he held up his kryss into view, he moved his wipe cloth over the blade carefully so that he would not cut himself. "Silversting, you called it?" he asked, and studied the blade as he waited for Dan's answer. The kryss seemed to look its best in the moonlight as it was, and its craftsmanship was something to be admired. Silversting, the kryss that slayed the undead, the kryss that had found its way back to its master after having been missing for several years. "Yes, but it pains me to see you wield it.".

Jode chuckled abit, but it was a joy shortlived as a new feeling of unease surfaced in his being. Something was coming. Something old...something sinister...

"Its him!" said Dan, but could only mutter a whisper into Jode's mind as he looked on in the direction of some aura overcoming them. Some sort of power new to Jode. A humanoid figure began to approach him, and as he did so Jode's right hand began to slightly quiver. The humanoid seemed to be wearing a armor of black platemail with a skeletal outline along its design. It had gray, long hair, and a hood to cover its eyes. All that Jode could see, is a simple red kryss that it held out to its side, just as had his.

The red blade pulsed, and the being began to speak in a daemonic overtone towards Jode.

"What have you done to that arm of yours, mortal?" he spoked to him, looking rather irritated and interested at the same time. Jode slowly moved his kryss to its sheath, and rested his other palm upon his warfork, unbuckeling it as so the being could not see. "No...keep your weapons away. I have a weapon that can bring you great power." said the being again, and with that it held up its red kryss sidelong across its chest. Jode simply squinted his eyes at the being, and observed the blade that he held out.

It glowed a faint blood red, almost the very same color as the stain on Jode's warfork! It did indeed seem to be a powerful blade, but before Jode's could be wooed by its majestic evil, Dan's voice screamed into his mind! "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" Jode hesitated, and looked to his right arm in shock as it had been reaching out to grip the blade without him having even realizing it! Jode shot his arm back to his side, and stood sidelong to the being in caution of its means. Holding his posture, Dan explained. "Never grip that blade he holds, for it is the very blade that holds the corrupter daemon "Zyron" within. That daemon tried to take my......

...

...

......our body once, and he will try to do so again! Do not let him fool you, for he only means to take our body while you seek to find a body of your own. If you grip that damndable blade then his channel will awaken in that right arm of yours and you'll have both of us to deal with!"
Processing the information, Jode looked over the being and then to his own right hand. He remembered his birth, and he remembered that without the magics of Oblivion that Norture had bestowed within him, he would not exist. He was Dan, but he was the Dan driven by Oblivion's will.

If Zyron wished to have their body, he would have to wait until Jode had his own.

Dan heard Jode's thoughts and was slightly relieved, for although his idea of denying Zyron was both selfish and twisted, he would deny him all the same. Once Jode left, Dan's fate could be his own once more, and he could live his own life.

Jode looked to the being and turned his back on him. His hand now his warfork's handle now, he began to walk away, but expected Zyron to attack at any moment. He did not though, and before long Jode disappeared from view, into the shadows and on his way.

Zyron stood there, in the middle of the crowd of dead corpses, thinking. "The mortal has changed, but he is still the only one available to hold my soul. This is the first time that my call has not worked on a mortal, and perhaps there is a reason behind this. Perhaps I must follow him and find what magics hold me from obtaining him." Zyron looked down to the road, and noticed the bloody footsteps of Jode leading off to trail him. Clearly, this human was scared, for who in the right mind would have left such a plain and easy trail for him to follow?

"Yes.....he is afraid..."
