[Chandra Moonfire]

Socrates and Chandra had discussed a short journey to find the perfect place to have their upcoming wedding. Chandra had kept an eye out when traveling around the realm and come upon a spot she loved. She said the magic words to imprint the location on a rune.
When Socrates came to see her that night she asked him if he wanted to see a spot she thought would be wonderful for their wedding and of course he agreed to see it.
They stepped from the magical gate into a small forest. In the forest was a circle of pillars. Chandra had pictured their friends standing along the rim of the circle with her and Socrates standing in the middle saying their vows. She sighed and looked over to Socrates to see his reaction to the place she had chosen. He had wandered a ways into the forest and as Chandra caught up to him she saw him biting into a wild mushroom. She didn't think anything of it .Wild mushrooms grew everywhere and were relatively harmless. However, this time that was not the truth. Socrates turned towards Chandra with an evil grin upon his face . He had a look Chandra had never seen before. He came towards her and said " Hey Baby" Chandra blinked thinking she had heard him wrong. He walked closer to her as she backed away . He spoke quietly and said " take off your dress" Chandra was so shocked she froze in place. She tried to talk to him and ask him what was wrong with him, she wanted to ask him why he would speak to her in that manner. When he got close enough to her to touch her , he suddenly bent over in pain. He stumbled backwards and behind a tree Chandra could hear him wretching. When he came out from behind the tree he looked ill but also like the Socrates Chandra knew and loved. He asked her why he felt so ill and why she was looking at him in something akin to fear. She told him what he had said to her. He was shocked at what he heard and held her close to calm them both.
Chandra wondered about the mushroom and thought perhaps the effects were only a human condition. As an elf she believed it would not effect her. She walked around until she found a wild mushroom and placed it in her mouth. She didn't remember anything until she woke up on the ground with Socrates kneeled beside her asking if she were alright. When he had helped her to stand she discovered her clothes had been discarded on the ground and all she wore was a flimsy skirt. She blushed deeply and ran behind a tree after picking up her clothes . As she dressed Socrates told her that he had found her in the tree with the pixies and that she had believed she was a pixie and therefore had cast her elfin clothes aside for the pixie attire. Chandra was ashamed and turned away from him . He turned her towards him tipping her chin with his fingers so she would look at him. He told her he loved her and held her tight.
Chandra buried her face in his chest , feeling the warmth and love of his ambrace. They decided to pick a few of the mushrooms for Socrates to study in his workshop . They started for home , wondering why the wild mushrooms had caused such differences in their personalities and Chandra wondered if they had been tainted by evil hands.
