Elvira sat in her office exhausted after another nights paperwork filing.
She leaned back in her chair, propping her legs up on her desk.
Evira sighed deeply and closed her eyes for a moment, savoring the
silence. Her thoughts of all the busy nights ahead with the opening of
the new fairgrounds kept creeping into her mind. Prizes... Prizes, boy
would she need ALOT of prizes for the booths. Suddenly she got a
brillant idea and sat up promptly, grabbing a pen and ink along with
some fragranted writting paper. She begin to scribe her letter.

Your royal highness, Queen Wickedrose of the House of Ra,

I have written this letter as a business proposition and as a friend to
you and our alliance. I need your help.

As you may know from past years, the Odyssey has been taking
donations and those donations have added up abundantly. We have
amased quite a collection fund for giveaways.

After careful consideration, I have decided to opt for a special bartering
agreement with your hunting party. In enchange for your spoils of the
hunt, I will offer you gold from our donation fund. The items I recieve
from your band of hunters will then be given away as prizes during
Odyssey's events.

This trade agreement can not only benefit your guild, but the Odyssey
patrons as well, as our prize rates will dramatically increase.

Please have a pigeon send me word with a meeting time at your
discretion. Thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule to
read this parchment and I hope to hear from you soon.

Humbley yours,

Elvira de Monica of the Odyssey Unleashed.

Elvira attached a red ribbon around the parchment and places it
inside her parots small traveling pouch. Elvira whistles loudly at Mouthy,
her parot and it takes flight.

As she sat in her chambers quietly going over some affairs of state a servant walked in. He bowed and handed her a parchment neatly wrapped in delicate ribbon. She took it from him with a nod and he quietly left. She unwrapped the smooth paper and took in the delicate par fume it was scented with. Sitting comfortably at her desk she read the elegant script on the page. With a smile she took out some jasmine scented papyrus and her ostrich plumed pen and wrote...

Dearest Lady Elvira DeMonica of Oddessy Unleased,

I have read your proposal and thank you for thinking of me with this. I have taken this into great consideration and feel it would be of profound benefit to both of us.

So I shall send my hunters out for you. The spoils of these hunts will be sent to you. The gold in turn would indeed, be valuable to my kingdom.

I hope this will aid in your cause. I will send Lady Ishtar to you as a liaison. I trust her, and know she is quite fond of the events you hold. Thank you again for keeping me in your thoughts.

Sincerely,

Lady Wicked Rose, Queen of Ra of the House of Ra

She gently rolled the papyrus and dripped lapis colored wax onto the seam and sealed it with the emblem of the scarab. She picked up golden cylinder and slid it into it. She called for a servant. He came forward with a bow and took the cylinder from her. "Take this to Lady Elvira DeMonica of the Oddessy Unleashed. Here are some gold coins for your journey." With another bow he left. She settled back at her desk with a slight smile and returned to her work.
