Standing on the top floor of the library and looking out across the expanse of star studded sky, Kira inhaled a deep breath, letting it out slowly. Her mind was spinning with her plans for the future. She was still dazed at her incredible luck in finding a man like Pon. He had turned her world upside down in so short a time, and she was truely happy and peaceful for the first time in many years.
Turning to look at the Towers of the Magi off in the distance, a small frown came across her face and she sighed heavily. Her feelings of failure to Sanctus, and to Lord Archon Dyn weighed heavily on her mind. How was she going to face his disappointment in having another member leave the division? "He's an understanding man. He will see how happy I am, and he'll understand my need to be by my husband's side" Kira thought to herself.
Changing out of Sanctus colors, she steeled herself to go in search of Lord Archon....
[several hours later]
Kira walked into the door of her library and looked around with a tear in her eye, knowing that another phase of her life was over. She had spoken with Lord Archon, and had faced his disappointment but felt better for having spoken with him. Kira felt her heart lift with joy as she recalled his words wishing her joy and happiness in her new life. He had even agreed to escort her down the aisle during the wedding, which Kira had wanted more than anything. Her great respect for Lord Archon Dyn had made him the only one she wanted for that honored task. She was pleased that he had accepted.
Swiftly walking across the room and to the teleporter, she began the task of packing up all of her and Kaleri's belongings in preparation to move to Pon's keep in Britain. Having reached Pluzkat, she was at peace that her library would be in the proper hands soon. Finally...the pieces of her life were fitting together. And she was now The Keeper of the Candle. Life is good, Kira thought as she continued packing away her books and clothes. Life is good. |
