Shade passed the tree humming to herself gently. She was rather bewildered. Steel and Cear had gone missing she could find neither. It seemed rather odd to her. Neither Xandy nor Cissa seemed to notice. Of course being of a curious nature she wanted to know what they were up to. She laughed softly to herself thinking that perhaps they did not want her to know, as she could at times be a bit mischievous. A mock laugh just like hers erupted down from one of the trees. Looking up she had her hand on the hilt of her dagger when she saw a large black mockingbird staring down at her. She smiled broadly at it. Come here my pet I won't hurt you. The mockingbird stared at her for a moment tilting its head to the side. She smiled beguilingly at the strange bird and it for a moment seemed to smile back. Such a magnificent creature…she exclaimed… The bird replied Such a magnificent creature…

She laughed happily Aaah you flatter me my friend, I can see you know the way to a girls heart.... She teetered a bit on her feet and held her hand out to the bird. Strangely the bird didn’t hesitate a moment more and flew down to her outstretched hand. She was shocked by the weight of the creature and the sharp talons it had. Gently she stroked its feathery head. Perhaps my friend, you would be willing to help me? It snapped its large beak at her hand and she snickered. A feisty one eh? I like that in my err companions; she struggled to stifle her laughter.

The mockingbird looked questioningly at her once again tilting its head and narrowing its eyes. The bird opened its wings widely almost like that of a butterfly and hopped from her outstretched arm to the ground looking up at her. Shade smiled at the creature for it truly was the largest bird she had seen. She winked at the bird and said, Wait here I shall get you something to eat as payment.

As payment, it said back to her and the intelligence of the beast struck her. After a bit of thought she decided that mockingbirds must surely eat insects but one as large as that perhaps would like a larger version of an insect. She smiled as she crept slowly towards a pond where a tiny pixie had alighted near the edge to collect water. Grinning from behind the bush, she snaked out her hand and grabbed the pixie snapping it in two with a quick flick before it had a chance to cast.

She returned to the spot where the mockingbird stood silent and held out her gift. The mockingbirds’ eyes lighted up at the large tasty insect and gobbled it down quickly nodding at her. Shade snickered softly. Tasty? Good…the bird replied Good…Tasty…

She laughed, she was thoroughly enchanted by this character and rubbed its soft black feathers gently. Now will you help me? I want to report two missing persons…she snickered.

Two missing persons…the bird mimicked then snickered.

Yes yes, good my little love. The bird began meticulously cleaning his feathers after such a fine meal. Preening he flew up to her shoulder and Shade patted him gently. Pulling a leafy branch with a dark purple berry on it from her pocket she spoke gently. Do not eat this my friend it is a plant called nightshade, I need you to find Steel and Cear for me. You are a smart fellow; she conjured an image of the two men in front of her. The bird looked questioningly. Fly the lands, I think I last was with Cear in Sanctus perhaps he still haunts it..find them and give this to Cear its his favorite, he will know I seek him out. Give Steel a piece of my hair so that they both know I must speak with them, and offer my aide. Then my handsome friend I shall have a whole buffet of pixies awaiting you.

A whole buffet of pixies, the birds’ eyes glowed as he said it. Preening once more the bird rubbed its large head against Shades green hair snaking a piece of her green hair in it's beak and holding the branch in his mouth he flew from her shoulder and away into the sky.

The mockingbird fluttered into a barred window of the Sanctus prison. It hovered momentarily, eyeing the massive unconcious body in one cell, wasted away from what seemed to be lack of nourishment. A full plate of food sat in the corner on the inside of the cell -- untouched, though it seemed more than two weeks old.

The bird left the hair on Steel's chest and flew into the main cell area to seek out its other target.

Cear Dallben was finnally freed from jail. Was it a simple twist of fate he had two braclets of binding in his possession for the escaping of a friend when he was arrested? He diddnt care. All he knew was it was time for him to kick aside the pawns of this game and find the king. In disguise Cear crept luna like a dungeon of horrid creatures noticing a Mockingbird by the moongate with a branch of nightshade. He thought for only a moment.

Nightshade? Cear walked to the bird in shadows hoping the animals sences would notice him, he slowly held his mask, the skull of Miron Vehl, infront of his face. As he did the mockingbird spoke, droping the nightshade that landed in Cears fast hand.

Two missing persons! Cear....BUFFET OF PIXIES

*Laughs* Oh nightshade, so glad you thought of me.

Cear needed no more thus he came from the shadows recaling to Blackrock where he prepared Letters to all Cabalists

My fine young Cabalists, it may stress you to know i was arrested for bizzare reasons in Sanctus days back, may it now relieve you to know an ally has freed me. Now as you can freely assume it is time for your actions to become known. All of you are to meet me in my home in Blackrock this very eve at nine thirty eastern. Until then you all best stay out of sanctus. Go if you wish but il be needing as many of you as i can get, not in jail. Trust me you dont want to go there. Ill see you then.

Cear
