|
To Lady Labelle Decantor,
I hope that this missive finds you in good health, Milady. Being in a location quite a ways from the mainland, I know not of the happenings upon the shores, but I do hope to be informed in time. Deep ponderings have hinted to me that I should be sending out missives, if not instructions, only leaflets upon the paths that persons walk; Divine guidance and wisdom-filled parchments for those that know not their true strength. The first of these missives was scripted for you. As strange as this will seem, and I believe this truly a thing of happenstance or an oddity to my own physical control; I write upon this parchment without a thought. I blankly stare at this page and energies force me to scribble words of confidence, words that will reinforce your already grand mental caliber and hopefully aid in adjusting you to the current situation.
I know that there may be the rumor of my leaving, or disappearance, or even abandonment, as I know it will be called in some circles. Alas, the rumors are somewhat true. I cannot state for how long I will stay away, or how brief my sabbatical will be. And when I do frequent the mainland, might I show face in the areas that need me most, or even the areas the masses believe I should visit? Know that walking amongst my peers, the people of Britannia again, is my greatest dream and the truth amongst these rumors. Know that serving the Regency and the people who fall under its protection; the citizens of Britannia; and even those that do not accept its rulings are a top priority of mine in these days away. Know that for sometime, I have seen strength in you, and sensed respect about your person. You are well spoken, and trusted amongst many. Your confidence does slip every so often, and you silence yourself when in doubt. Fret not, and preach what you know is right. Voice what you feel, and consider the peoples feelings. But be sure to nay sacrifice your or ideals, unless for a greater good (and then even still, make your opinion known). You have a wondrous voice, and a wondrous heart. Your leadership capabilities come with those traits.
I do have a few favors to ask of ye though. And this missive cannot go without them. Firstly, I wish for you to write to the people, a grand missive of your ideals of Unity and Organization amongst the masses. Make it not a centered document, but a general statement that offends few, if any. Secondly, tell those members of the cabinet that their positions were chosen for their strengths and weaknesses. For each of you support the other, less ye know it or not. Your individualities were the reasons for you filling the positions ye fill, nay your expertise. Hold fast to that ideal, and voice it to them, keep them reminded that they were nay abandoned, and that in organization and unity, they act as one individual in the absence of an already appointed one. Thirdly, You and Legerion collectively speak to the loyalists at this time. Remember, neither of your positions hold more power than the other, and that you two support each other grandly. Again, tis why you two were chosen. Confusion will run rampant and mislead those that become lost to it at this time…allow it nay. Lastly, deliver this message to the loyalist’s in my absence:
“Understand that in times of great loss, or circumstance, Unified attempts have reduced casualties and greatly overcome adversities. As you all support the external body that is the Regency, understand that that was not my purpose or connection to it. My connection to that Government that rightly holds office amongst the people of Britannia was the Spirit of The Regency. Look amongst yourselves, does not diversity sit within this room? Is your cabinet not made individuals with their differences, likes and dislikes, strengths and weaknesses? Tis what makes this organization and collection of individuals great. It is your divine right to have a system that rules you actively and the way you see fit. Not a system ruled by an individual that will bark orders and rule in only his or her personal Judgments. Your Choice, and Ability to choose that which you believe in is what makes the Regency great…maintain that greatness forever more. Hold fast to the spirit of the regency. I have nay abandoned you, but have parted for a moment to solidify my spirit, to better instruct and guide the lands people…I will return shortly.”
I thank you Milady. I await your response in a missive of this sort. You shalt walk your path greatly. The ordeals you encounter will strengthen you and have you raise the power of your voice…
Yours In Service,
Rufus Oryan
Rufus immediately attaches the parchment to a bird’s leg and sends it on it’s way. Within a matter of moments, he begins yet another parchment,
“To my Dearest Sarah,…” _________________ "Balance - the harmony between the Principles of Order and Chaos...Harmony, Dedication and Rationality, the three Principles of Balance, are our highest ideals." |

|
A young man climbs by way of rope to the large ship’s deck, his eyes searching the dark for the Regents quarters. He makes his way to the back of the boat to the small tent there set. A tap to his shoulder does startle him, the till man snatches the rolled parchment from his hands and waves the boy off the ship and enters the tent himself to deliver this letter...
Milord Regent, I trust this letter to find you in good health and of pleasant spirits,
It was to this Lady’s confidence that your letter was well received. Be it known that your departure has aroused great apprehension amongst our Loyalists, for it was in you that so many were inspired, in both the strength and guidance you provided. Milord Regent, I implore you to consider remaining as Regent. How you both embody and symbolize our great Regency with distinction. I contend that without your council and abilities to coalesce the masses, will we be left to a venture far greater than one the people may wish tread.
It is my belief that through your assurances, sagacious, and government, that the Regency, and her people can continue to grow and thrive. These my beliefs, are shared by the Lord Chancellor, as well as I expect many of your Loyalists. Lord Regent, by your volition, I urge you tend this week’s meet, and allow yourself be queried by those that not so long ago placed the Regency in your hands. I trust you will provide them solutions, and explanations, and allow them this alternative to nominating and electing a new Regent.
Such are the ways by which we must spread and travel Milord, our person and existence seeking the benefit of consummating grace...let not such plight lead you too far from the people, who you love, and who have grown to love and admire you in return. For it is their adoration that allowed you to reach the highest level of achievement, over needs, above security, beyond success, comes then the essence of the fulfilment you do now seek in these travels. I bid you come home, and see that the Regency moves forward, with you as their Regent, or I bid you to encourage them in their plight to electing anew, if you cannot meet their requisite.
Ever Cordial,
Lady LaBelle Decantor |
