Friendly fire guys it happens...
I dont like that you become a huge monopoly of whoevers running its mindset, lose individuality.
If we are all going to fight the same battles and wars on the good/evil allied sides, then why be seperate guilds.
We become one huge group fighting for the ideals of whomever is running the show. Boring if you ask me.
Contrary to popular beleif, at least on the evil side, reallistically evil does not like other evil just because they are evil. I think it is reallistically the same on the light side. Not everyone gets along. I would even venture to say that evil would get along less, not as morally bound in to behave you know...
just my thoughts dolls... |
I posted this in the summit too but I'll cross it hear (Sorta I can't remember all of my phrasing) The proposal itself is for a strictly OOC alliance system set up. It would not affect the rp of the guilds within the alliance itself, but alot of people seem to be mistaking this concept. That missunderstanding alone is reason enough for me to be leery on this idea. The Shadow Conclave, no offense to all taken part, I know I tried my hardest to make it work, just failed. And all it caused was massive Good-Evil fights most of which made ABSOLUTELY no rp sense. |

Whoa whoa whoa, wasn't something like this tried awhile back?
As far as my understanding goes, whenever everyone warred each other there would always be one guild (or just a lazy GM) who couldn't get around to accepting the war invites or persay just logging on to run his or her guild.
But I do agree with Vaen, an Alliance system would suck.
The good thing about warring, and I'm sorry if I'm repeating whatever anyone else has already said, but guilds do get to retain their individuality. This is important because whenever an Alliance is sprung up and some guild wants to war another gulid, they have to then change their business to the leader guild of the Alliance and it just seems to me like there are ALWAYS, and will always, be problems with that.
And then there are going to be people who are going to say that they don't want to war but they still want to RP and they will think it is unfair if not as many people RP with them as if, lets say, they were actually warred. They just don't want to give that power of killing to other guilds because they don't trust them.
Now don't get me wrong, back when I ran Dan's Circle I wanted nothing better than to have every single guild out there warred to it so players could be interacted with without really having to "belong" to an guild in general but perhaps some caution should to be used in this...

...but then again I don't play anymore. My hope is just that you guys figure out how to anticipate this potential problems. _________________ AKA: Gryss ab'Arawn
