What do you think of removing Faith from rp?
No, please do not do it, there must be a way to get around it.

It is really your decision on what to do with the character. I would says keep her; but its your decision.

Maybe it is time to retire her, if she became that unplayable.

I think it is unnatural to play a character of the opposite sex to your rl gender. It creeps me out. Good riddens.

Ok Faith, you know my view. We've spoken in vent and icq. I agree with everyone that ultimately the decision is yours. However, Faith has become a favorite "bad" girl of a lot of players.

If people cannot differentiate a character from the person behind the pixel, well then they are gonna miss out on a lot of rp.

And if ya kill off Faith, well I'll be left with no option but to kill as many spiders as I can find. Twisted Evil hehehe

well i guess the two anonymous players who voted the last option .. "female played by male, i am freaked out, good riddens" never had the courage to post. probably because they are afraid the rest of the community will flame them.

See? To match their microwang, they have no balls either. Razz

Well, as an Orc who spent a large amount of time hitting on various females all over the community, the knowledge that one of the females Grig may or may not have hit on (most likely the former) is actually male does make for an eye quirker. Not because it is wrong, but rather it is unnerving that the emote *pushes breasts up and together* might actually be a macro, that a dude is using. You DID use that line a lot, if I do recall properly. Personally, I just think you wanted some sweet drow lovin' but there wasn't enough drow females, who weren't crazy as *rubbish, around to make such interaction possible.

That's my theory. And being partially addled by years of roleplay as a love-starved Orc, you'll have to forgive my characters naturally perverted mode of thinking, which may have seeped into my real life thought processes. Short version: I may very well be a pervert at this point, so this theory could be quite off base.

Seriously though, you could take a break with Faith, or just change her modus operandi for a bit. Align Faith with some peeps that can bring her protection, not backstab them for a bit, and then just sneak around like she often does. Change your profile so it becomes apparent that the character walking around does not look like the Faith we all know (and love?). I always make a point to quickly glance at the profiles of anyone I see. This way I can take note of any changes they have made or any special situations that have come up. That's pretty much good practice for anyone in the community.

* edit: I don't like the vulgarity filter... "poopies"? Lame.
But I guess I can understand the sentiment. There are, after all, people out there that don't have my knack with curse words.

I can see where some male rpers may feel a bit weird knowing a guy would use such "provocative macros". But unlike most people, i do not roleplay Faith as having any kind of similarity to my rl personality. My style of roleplay is to play a character without having any rl connection to me. The "pushing her cleavage up" is more of a faith thing, and is not present on my other strong rp female, Aerie. I play both Faith and Aerie as direct opposites of each other in the spectrum of my imagination.

Faith is an egotistcal female drow with alot of love for herself, pride in her body, voluptiouous appearance among other of her physical traits. She purposely uses her body to provoke males in that way. It is just the way I would precieve the way "Faith" is.

Aerie on the other hand, is a more delecate, innocent and often vulnerable elf. She is beautiful as well, but i rp her as being "less developed" than faith. Aerie is more of my "shy, gets nervous easily, feeling as if she cannot look a person in the eye" type of female rper. And unlike faith, I do not play Aerie as being "sexually provocative".
I actually rp aerie as being, somewhat annoyingly whiney like the aerie from Balders Gate 2.

All my characters i try hard to roleplay as being different from each other, and different from myself (irl) as possible. Just because i rp faith walking sleasily, shaking her hips and .. well.. emoting her provokative behavior, does not mean i do stuff like that irl. I tend to keep my roleplay life and real life separate from each other.

*I can rp faith being that way provoking a male character* [and then walk away from the computer and stare at some hot looking woman, and wanting to hook up with her] very easily. Smile

I do not limit myself to just female characters in the roleplay world of UO.. i have at least 2 males that i may rp from time to time, if rping one of my females gets too exhausting or frustrating.

Ok, i made my decision. I am not playing Faith anymore. You can lock this post now. Nothing more will probably come of it.
