Really? I wasn't aware we ever had issues other than you being offended at me IC over things that happened at your embrace that have never been really explained to me, and your inability IC to control me when we were attempting to negotiate. What exactly have we not seen eye to eye on?
I've yet to be disrespectful. I've been nothing but cordial and respectful. I had a concern, and i expressed it logically and wholly. I had a question as to why you were gathering this information, as the initial request was very intrusive and encompassing, and has the ability to be easily abused. As 90% of the VtM mentality is the gathering of knowledge and understanding of people's secrets, and in effect the community as a whole is running a VtM setting without a storyteller, it smacks of a desire for control.
If all you wanted to know was what clans were active, why not just simply ask that from the beginning?

Ok.. lol. Don't get upset peoples (if you are).
We have one of this type post like once or twice a year. I tried to do a search for the last time someone posted their compiled info on what clans exist but it is gone to the abyss, now. It was probably myself that contributed most. But it would be out of date by now, anyway. This post isn't really that big a deal, I don't think, certainly not anything to argue over. Especially when you could be arguing about what breakfast you prefer.
I didn't post Brujah or Gangrel because to my knowledge, none are active in game currently ( I think they are not playing UO at all actually atm). If I am wrong, feel free to speak up, guys. The only Malks I knew I haven't seen in game in months until recently, and even then the player I saw may not be playing her vamp actively. |

It's something to add depth ro a roleplayed character, that doesn't have to be a focus of the character. It's something to put out there to a couple people you roleplay with sparingly, a secret you let them in on. An intimate character detail. the beauty in the secret is the intimacy of sharing the secret.

This is all I asked as well, before people got all defensive about it. I simply wanted to know why. I'm still trying to figure out why my asking why was such drama.

I agree the original request in itself isn't a big deal in theory, but nether was a request for clarification on why the information was needed a reason for folks to get flustered or anything. I admit I worry when I see respectfully phrased questions answered in such a negative manner. I've seen so many other RP groups in other games I've been part of do that at it's never a good sign. As a new person it makes me worry if I'm going to have someone get mad at me for asking questions as well. Not a welcoming experience, believe me. Hopefully we can just mark it as a misunderstanding and try to be more patient with each other. |

I think I remember not too long ago someone gabbing about their Kiasyd (sp? the fae butterfly people?) and I believe at least one of those Daughters of Cacophony or whatever they're called. |
