Facebook is a bane to teachers. The first thing my students did after the first day of school was go home and search for me on facebook. I know you can set it as personal or invite only (or whatever) but I find that Facebook is just a time waster, it wont be long before facebook becomes a necessity to access various promotional items for videogames or other media outings, when this happens it will suck. Hell Twitter is in the same boat.

This is not to say that Facebook is bad, I just hate the direction these things are taking entertainment media.

Isk is on the right track with this Facebook stuff....The trouble is, it's breeding a whole generation of people who are all too willing to give up almost any imaginable piece of information about themselves.

I am certainly not anti-facebook, but always have at least a modicum of privacy on your profile and appropriate pictures. I have also sort of stupid friends who post about hating their work, or sneaking into bars underage, or getting away from the cops when a party got broken up, their exact whereabouts at all times...all kinds of less than prudent things. I feel really bad for today's youth. I want to sit em down with Dick Chaney and let him scare their pants off.
