I noticed this too a little while back. The states are trying to get their fair share in the net market now i guess. Although they posted PA as having a 7% sales tax that is not correct as it is 6%. 6% is what the billing comes out to ....$12.99 + 6% = $13.77 which is what they have been charging me.
I don't know for sure on the legality of it though. I am looking into it. The taxes are allowed however it should most likely be based on where EA's corporate HQ is ...not the state that i am paying from....example...I buy my booze in Del cause there is no sales tax there. Or if i am visiting my cousin in Mass...we shop in NH because there is no tax. So why is it that if I cross a border online I still have to pay....update to follow once i look into it more. _________________ A government must not waiver once it has chosen it's course.
