Speaking of which.. just now i got this message box on my icq:

"Your ICQ number is being used by another computer"

I had to shut down icq and reopen it, it happened twice. The ICQ help center has a bulletin board for it, people have posted. Some say glitch some say it's a hacker. My details and password weren't changed.

Anyone else ever get this message? It's freaky.

Happened to me too. I run trillian though so the error message was a bit clearer in what was going on.

Yeah, NWN2 is out and has no monthly fees. It does however require a powerful PC (updated your PC in the last year or two?). I reccomend:

CPU: 2.0 ghz AMD -OR- 3.0 ghz pentium
RAM: 1gig
Vidcard: Depends. Vaen runs it on a Geforce 6800 with 128 megs of video memory and it runs just fine on lowest settings (WITH tweaks; there are many tweaks to improve performance on even the newest of cards! ask me and ill copy/paste or link to a thread with them). I have a 7600GS with 256 megs of video memory and it runs like a dream on MEDIUM settings (WITH tweaks). I do not know the ATI Radeon series equivalent, but a 9700PRO can -probably- run it on lowest settings without too much problems, while an x1600 will run it as good as mine (looked this up on the bottom of the box, but i havent experience with it personally or know anyone running an ATI that ive talked to exensively).

512 megs of ram is the killer. You can run it but load times will be slow from zone to zone.

Also note that at this exact moment there are not many great RP servers up. The real competition is taking their time. The server that I have been working on since January (lore and whatnot, scripting and building only recently) will go live around december first.

Yes got to love it. This new version is so wacky that I have considered going to trillion. It likes to shut itself down, make decisions on its own on when I will receive a message from someone, if at all (one actually came up 5 days after it was sent to me), hates offline messages - they never get received and generally decides when I need to be seen online or not by others without my input. Then there is the deleting of users that have been on my list for months suddenly no longer being on my list. Gotta love having an icq pop up saying it is from an unknown user and not on your list and its someone you talk to all the time. The new history saver is useless unless you want to look for two hours for the information you saved and it saves all history of all users and not just the ones you wish it to for the time frame you need it to. A real pain when you saved information that required your attention such as dates and times of events and such. To be honest the new smilies look pure evil if you ask me. The only thing I like is the new talking smilies and the fun you can have with them.

I get that message at least once a week and what I have found in my situation is it is when it seems to think it has logged me off and tries to log me back in and realizes I never left in the first place. I certainly hope they get these minor irritants fixed soon.

I stopped using ICQ at one of the recent versions where the smilies became so large and intrusive I couldn't stand it any longer. I now use gaim, it's like ICQ without ads. site for it.

It has a better logging feature than ICQ, and a lot better options. AND YOU CAN TURN SMILIES OFF >:O
