Faith, i cant say i know you, but i wouldnt kill her off. you should keep her. i killed one of mine off once and regretted it. she was the best char i ever rp'd with at that time. even had her married and they had twins.
only a few knew i was a guy and i had a blast playing her.
especilly on the day she went stark raveing mad and didnt know she was with children. ever see a dark elf female go feral. not a pretty picture.rl scared them to, bad enough that the gm of the guild i had her in, told me never to do that again. Twisted Evil

I am curious as to who chose my playing a female is wrong. The two that voted that choice never put any comments in. Why not have the guts to show who you are? And if you do put a response in, please use your main arpc name and not some fake one.

Oh, and Molly or any other Mod, if these people get hostile when or if they send their response on this thread, please do not lock it or delete it. I want a chance to learn why these people think it is wrong. Plus if i get flamed, I want a chance to defend myself.

I figured since i finally mustered the courage to post this in the first place, these people would muster the courage to make themselves known.

It is really your decision on what to do with the character. I would says keep her; but its your decision.

I agree with a lot of the others who posted here you should keep her, take a break for a bit, but dont delete her.

As for everyone knowing faith. Everyone doesnt. and you play her very well I had no idea you were a guy, (not that it matters you do it well!)

The way you play your character really shouldn't matter at all in the ooc realm. As for being a notorious baddy, I suppose that is the consequence of doing so many bad things and not much can be done about it - what's done is done.

However, I always thought it would have been awesome if, for whatever reason that would allow for this to happen, Faith's personality was swapped with someone elses (I originally thought of Tati since the two are like polar opposites) which would just be very, very entertaining and interesting.

Who wouldn't want to see Faith being all soft and sweet and Tati being a complete bad ass, even if for a short time? Laughing

Not ragging on your post or anything, Galathan... But its amusing to me that the suggestion is to heap more character flaws in, even if they are temporary. One of the biggest problems I have right now with the community is that nobody (or at least the older players, and higher up chars) plays character flaws whatsoever. Their character is so perfect and yadda yadda, it makes them rediculously boring to RP with. I think Faiths alignment and how faith adheres to a drow femme RP (which is wrought with flaws in itself) is inspiring, as so few play chars with as many flaws as they have edges.

Interesting concept though.

There is always a way around it. When I played in NWN Arleah my Chaotic Evil wizard bonded summoner(fire) commited tons of crimes, evading arrest, killing an arresting officer, killing an orphanage full of children, killing people, burning citizens alive ... etc etc. You can imagine how long I would have to stay in jail for..I wasn't going to do that oh no. I always had a plan to escape. Sure it made for interesting rp and such but sometimes if you lay low for a bit even people will soon forget. But a character is never "unplayable" there is always a way around things.

By the way that chaotic evil bonded summoner was a female elf :fuckyou:

It's all acting, no matter whether or not you RP a female or male char. Myself, I've had a few male chars, Khal Ankur(annoyingly evil), Melior Rohannon(uptight paladin), Kay Velve'Niar(lovesick drow). The point is to focus on RP, not who the player is irl. If the RP is good.. who the hell cares?

well i guess the two anonymous players who voted the last option .. "female played by male, i am freaked out, good riddens" never had the courage to post. probably because they are afraid the rest of the community will flame them.

oh well, maybe i will just "hide out" for a while as faith. Then if i truely have the urge to play her again, i will, and if not, then hopefully i can get a name/sex change token to fix her.
