While most of us are waiting for our download to complete because we don't have super connections, others have been able to access the game(Cear, Steve, both of you should be expecting a rocket-to-the-face once mine is done downloading). While the internet is a fountain of information, I'm asking those of you who have had the opportunity to play the game (I hate you) thus far, and fill us in on your thoughts as of now. (I hate you) _________________

I stood behind the window and shot at people. I thought I was being sneaky.
Then they used rockets and took away my window and most of the wall that it was attached to.
Thus far, destroyable environments are my favorite thing ever. |

Destroyable environments are the best part. The sniping is done fairly well, much better than Modern Warfare 2 as you don't sway like a drunk. You can level entire buildings by placing c-4 charges strategically, so you can set them up beforehand, wait for enemies to enter, then KABOOOM! The building pancakes on top of them. Good times, my friend, good times. _________________ Sometimes you must lose yourself before you can find yourself. |

Eh. MW2 didn't appeal to me at all. This one sold me right away and I don't regret buying it. |

If MW2 gave you the option to mow down trees to improve line of sight, fly helicopter transports to get units across the map, drive tanks across the map, get in four wheelers to get from A to B faster, have bullet-drop and wind-adjustments for firing long distances, and let you blow the rubbish out of buildings......
Then yeah, it'd be a MW2 wannabe. _________________

What ^^^ he said.
I enjoyed MW2, but only because I could pick it up for 15-30 minutes before work and get a couple rounds of noob-toobing in. Strategy is non-existant in MW2 and it basically boils down to: are you a knifer? are you a noob-toobers? are you a glitcher? if none of the above, enjoy your negative k/d ratio.
BC2 has more emphasis on strategy and gives a lot more fun options, like blowing up buildings. The sniping is more realistic which rocks. I want to get someone to be my spotter! _________________ Sometimes you must lose yourself before you can find yourself. |

MW2 was a fun game, sadly it dropped the ball by leaving out some key features, Dedicated Servers, Realism, Night Vision, Lean, Mod Tools just to name a few. Otherwise, phenomenally fun, lovable characters, decent single player. I'm keeping it installed because I enjoyed the time I spent, despite the issues.
BC2 just finished so I'll have my opinion by this evening, hopefully it's tons of fun.
And Shylocke, I'd have to disagree. MW2 is all about twitch reflex and having people on your side you can trust, but we're all Hardcore players 'round here. =TIO= Enabler Crew/Team Cosmic Walrus FTW. |

I tried the multiplayer demo for Battlefield 2 aaaaand... I didn't like it. Controls felt clunky and slow and just didn't appeal to me. Didn't get much of a thrill when I killed someone. Just not for me I guess.
Honestly, I like MW2 and these "realistic" shooters, but Halo to me is still the king of FPS online multiplayer. The new multiplayer trailer for Halo: Reach looks absolutely insane. Made me 10x more excited for that game. If you're a Halo fan, check it out.

I actually like their reasoning for no prone. Still not sure if I wanna get it though. |

If there reasoning was better than "The game is not balanced for lean or prone..." Then I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. Sorry. Every online FPS I play... I am a sniper at heart and in practice. Not having prone is a stick up my ass. |
