Upon a cold night's sunset, Itullus returned to his far-away hideout with cargo and mercenaries in tow. Stepping down from his horse, he instructed the men to secure the loot in a hold inside then sent them on their way by issuing the final payout.

Content with his work and that the mercenaries had left, Itullus cautiously opened the cargo chests from Luna and began to pull them out, carefully, one by one and arrange them on a floor. With a pen and parchment he meticulously cataloged every item taking special care to label every item on which he detected any sort of magical aura, no matter the strength. Happy with work, he blew out the candles in the room and went upstairs to the chamber housing Bailos to report his efforts to his Master.

Locking the door securely behind him, he was now in plain view of Bailos. Grabing a pillow which rested against the wall, Itullus positioned it at the feet of the pedastal on which Bailos's prison rested. Removing his shoes, hat and cloak the student kneeled down and began his meditations, taking a quiet comfort in the presence of his adopted teacher.

As Itullus's thoughts drifted and his mind opened, he became keen to the thoughts of Bailos. Honing in on the energy his Master radiated, the two were able to communicate. Brief flashes of light! Pictures and scenes all jumbled together darting in and out of Itullus's mind, and consequently Bailos's, recounted the day's events.

...Then they all stopped...

Blackness. One burning eye off in the distance surrounded by nothingness filled the canvas of Itullus's mind. It was time for another lesson. The endless voice of the Wraith Lord echoed through the annals of his mind.

Your dedication will be tested...

You will betray your friends.
Your friends will abandon you.

Your courage...will fail you...Find strength in me.

*a lengthy pause*

Students return to Umbra. They will pledge their souls The Ice Queen will bend to my will. Draw them to me, bring her before me.
The King of Sanctus grows sensitive to My Will. His eyes must be made blind.
Bring the prodigal Lich to me. The Priest will be made to realize my power once again. He will bow his head before the dark might of the Soul Flayer.

Never forget your oath to me

And with the final words Itullus's body became wracked with a terrible pain, convulsions and spasms. The pain wrested him to the floor and he erupted in cries of agony!

Blackness came to him.

He awoke several minutes later. Night had now fully enveloped the sky and the room was black. Struggling to his feet, he dusted himself off and took a final look back at the Orb, now dormant. Finding the door he fiddled with his keys and unlocked it. Standing in the doorway, he voiced an afterthought out loud..

Remember my oath, indeed.
