Waking up sore and achy, after looking down at herself she realized she fell asleep in her armor. Having to drink herself to sleep, was not the best idea after all. Anything though, to make the dreams and nightmares stay away. This mission was proving to be more than she expected, even though the walk with Lord Otis the other day to Umbra was pleasant, but wet. The rain made it a slower journey than needed, yet the conversation was most pleasant and her answered her questions politely. Cursing to herself, "last day in this place."
The pale stone walls of Hanse's held bitter memories and leaving was her top priority. When the messenger arrived saying her work was done, she took the news happily. Deciding it would be easier on her mount and her body, carefully she packed away her armor and pulled out more comfortable clothes for traveling back to the Palace. As she was making herself ready, the candle in her room caught glimpse of the emerald ring she wore, making it sparkle in the stark room. All she had left was this to remind her of how not to get into the mess the High Priestess was in now.
She double checked her gear and then paid the Inn keep for her stay and her rations. Pulling her, scarlet locks back into a pony tail, she got up on her horse. Without looking back, she urged her mount forward and tore up the road to Luna. It would be a days ride just to the moon gate and she wanted to seek her refuge back at the barracks, back to Skara. The wind whipped her as she went and made tears stream across her face. She would not stop, running away was all she wanted to do now and go back to the only place she felt safe. A place where she can lock herself away except for her duties and not by anything else... _________________ "Three can keep a secret if two of them are dead."
