I was doing some thinking and thought of bringing back Rivendell. I just have so many fun memories of it when I was in it. But if I were to remake Rivendell, it would be in Trammel to avoid any troubles with the inhabitants of Felucca. Feedback is appreciated. Thank you for your time.

I do not see why not. Maybe it would inspire some of the old rperes to come back.. or reinspire the new ones.

It is ultimately your choice, your time, and your desire which will go into it. If you feel strongly about it and it is a projet you want to donate the three aforementioned too, then I say it should be attempted. I was't here for rivendell, so I have no frame of reference, but I think you'd mae out fine brining an old place and guild into existence.

I am amused by the fact that, should you say "Rivendell" to a drow, they would reply... "Humans of what?"

Rivven = Humans
Del = Of

Har har harr. No, it wasn't really meant to be funny, but I seemed to remember hearing both of those words in the drowish language.

I would love to see a come back of Rivendell where it already exists. The Hungry Halfing cannot be moved. There are good people who have paid for years to keep accts up so that we still have the Hungry Halfling and the Citadel in Stormhaven as well as the other buildings around them. Why rename one historical town with the name of another?

I would support rp in Rivendell where it stands, should you attempt to rekindle the fires there. Sorry if this wasn't what you wanted to hear.

I by no means want to cast negitivity but have to agree with Beo. Sometimes memories of greatness should remain as such rather than be rekindled into disappointment. Also as most things in the past it had a glorious history but for its many reasons became lost and reserved to our fond memories. Great things just happen and like most the sequal seldom lives up to the original. I would think that is because of that history the bar has been raised so high that it fuels the disappointment. I would look to the futue and build on a new idea that you can share and would think if anyone can, you can. With that said, best of luck in whichever you decide and I look forward to interacting with whatever you bring to the table.

I voted no, Porthos covered why.

I'd love to bring back the Holy Roman Empire but...I have to settle for college student.

What if you built a bigger and better town? Something that the new rpers (even myself..) Can say they helped with...everyone has memories of rivendel...what if you make something new..and give others different memories?

Yeah but if you want to do that, just call it something else and make something NEW.

That would be easier to do if people would LET the old things die, instead of any time someone tried something new people popping out of the wood work and being "OMG" you can't do that cause so and so did that... *shrugs* but what do I know...

Yes or telling someone because they don't follow OES old way of doing something, that it's totally wrong.

Have to agree with Mallory, Bailos, Porthos with this one.

Let Riv go, not many newer guys know of it, I know I certainly never RPed when it was around, it's even before my time. Best to start building new memories and just cherish the old.

I thank all of you for your feedback. It was taken into careful consideration. As for Rivendell, I'm going to agree with the ones who said to leave it be. Maybe I'll turn Spawn evil or something. Stay tuned! Thanks again guys
