I was thinking, if we as a community could procure (buy) enough of it, we could USE this new currency to start a new roleplayed economy...

Oh, right. There was an EM event last night, rats spawned, and they dropped money in the form of 'gold sovereigns', 'silver crowns' and 'copper shillings'. I guess quite a bit dropped, but its still not enough.

EM events and our RP have never seemed to mix well.

that and there is a risk with banking them. i put some in bank for safe keeping, then had to reduce space by making checks out of my regular gold. the banker will not know the difference between this new currency and our current gold, so it is possible to lose the new currency in your checks.

This new event gold works like any other gold coin. I know someone that used 40 of these coins to purchase from npcs by accident. Better just store it at home. That's what I did.
