Quickly the child hurried down the trail, panting from the distant run. Their boots stomping the earth beneath them as they pursued on, close to their target. He tripped on a root and slid forwards and stopped abruptly. They had him trapped, the forests worked to their advantage. Grigori glanced around worriedly. How had he gotten into this mess? Perhaps it was when he tried to rescue the prisoner from the brigands.

Off to the side, a blue gate created it self from thin air. Three figures stepped through. Spell books gripped tightly in their left hands. All three dressed in the same attire, a jet black robe, and crimson red boots and gloves. The arcane symbol appeared to be on each piece of clothing. Tight leather armor protected the mages body, along with a magical necklace. The largest of the three walked directly to Grigori and hoisted him up onto his shoulder, turning on his heel he walked behind the other two mages. The brigands looked around at each other, blades drawn they rushed in towards the intruders.

"In Vas Por!" the words echoed from the mouths of the two mages. Their arms extended infront of them, both performing sacred movements.

The ground beneath the brigands shook violent. Three of the four fell to the ground, bones breaking due to the shock. The last one, with just enough strength, turned and ran. That was until one of the two mages paralized him in mid step.

The largest mage placed Grigori down on his two feet. The child peered up at the stranger, his saviour. The mage glanced down at the young drow, he winked and nodded towards the fight.

Wind blew the bottom of their robes as they approached the brigand. His eyes were wide open, even if the paralize spell wore off, he'd most likely still frozen due to terror. They circled him once, than twice. Nodding to each other, they were not about to let this one escape.

"Corp Por." They both muttered.

The Brigand crumbled.

"Vas Rel Por." A gate appeared in front of the mage who saved Grigori. He nodded towards the gate, motioning for Grigori to proceed.

He knew well enough to go anywhere with strangers.

How much harm could three men who saved him honestly be? He asked himself.

All four emerged from the gate. Wind blew vigorously in each direction. A large tunnel was before them.

"Where...Where are we?" Grigori spat out.

"This young Grigori, is Wind. The temple of mages."

The wind blew fiercely through his short hair. The sun was disgustingly bright to him, it'd felt like so long since he was in day light. Five months he had been gone, or had it? He had aged ten years during his visit to wind. For every month, he had aged two years, for that was the process in the secret academy in Wind.

The three mages who saved Grigori's life so many months ago had taken him to Wind. They told stories of his father, Beowulf Thormear. He was apart of a secret society located in the depths of Wind. Very few knew of it, but many were apart of it. No one ever spoke of the society, and no one had any attachment to those who were apart of it.

"We have brought you here to teach you young Grigori." They had told him.
"Your father was one of us, along with some of his closest friends, those names we cannot reveal. We have watched you grow up, and if your father had been around he would have brought you in when you turned six. Due to certain circumstances, we had to bring you ourselves." The three mages introduced themselves as; Kayne, Lurenco, and Vincent - the largest of the three.

There was no ranking in the society, merely a group of people brought together to practice magics, practice combat, and even influence parts of Sosaria without anyone ever knowing. Wind itself was a private city for only mages, but the secret society was located in other places around wind. Some of their operations even occured underground, such as their shrine.

After two and half months of training, (five years inside there) the mage Kayne took Grigori to their sacred shrine. He taught him how to pray, how to meditate, and even talk to long past mages. "Any mage that was associated with our society, can be visited through this shrine. Some of our mages have the abilities to speak with them at any shrine." Kayne told Grigori.

Time pasted for Grigori, he was growing quickly, and learning even quicker. He sent letters to his mother very, very often to keep her notified, and not worried. He was trained in every art, but was taught to master only a few. "One can have the knowledge of everything, but only be mastered in few." Lurenco once told him. "Thats something like what Mr. Tai taught me, he said that the body and spirit will discover their talents on their own."

The day Grigori had turned six-teen the mages said they were done training him. "You still need to constantly practice, and make regular visits to Wind. You are a very able fighter, but not the best. With your gift though, you could be one a very superb mage." The farewell was brief, because they all knew they'd see eachother. "Once a month is when we meet, we expect you here, for you are a member the The Arcane Society now."

The wind continued blowing fiercely. He nodded satisfied with himself and very confident. There would be many visits to make, but one very important one to his mother. It'd been so long for him. Long for her as well, but not years. He only hoped that Faith would once again try to find his mother, now he was able to defend her.
