Umbra.

Home... this is where I truly belong.

Isn't it?

But something was wrong... peering through the moongate, the entity was faced with a decision. The rift was small, dangerous, and any hesitation, the slightest second more and it would close.

But while Sosaria had changed very little, the world this entity knew had changed vastly. The only family he had known had turned their back on their own father, leaving him behind to walk with the only being that made the difference in his existence.

Betrayal of their own beliefs...

There was work to be done.

The moongate shimmered for a moment as the rift passed, leaving only a ripple in the Sosarian counterpart, as the black-shadowed entity stepped through the glowing portal. The mortal residents of Umbra in the nearby vicinity could feel an unexpected fear creep over their hearts as the being flowed across the ground.

It was inhuman, and no shape could be made of its form. Long black tendrils of Corpus flowed over the ground, leaving trails of dead grass where it walked as the Corpus seeped from its body into the ground. The tendrils flowed, waving with the wind, upward toward what could be made of its body, a single interior, the light from the sun itself bending away leaving it shrouded in darkness. Through the shadow, all one could see was the two ghastly yellow eyes peering out, coldly studying its new surroundings.

As the creature finally began to take shape, the form dissipated into nothingness.

I've got work to do.
