It was a quiet day in the city of Sanctus with a soft breeze blowing throughout the streets. Most of the buildings were empty with the exception of the vendors selling their goods. The silence would soon be disturbed by a shout for help. Suddenly an elderly man started to run down the dirt road near the Castle Blackgard. Behind the man was a disorderly brigand trying to rob the poor defenseless man.

"Alright old man give me some money or I'll take it from your dead body!" commanded the brigand. The old man then fell to the ground in front of the castle's stone stairs.

"No please don't somebody help me!" The elderly man begged as he tried to stand up on his feet. The brigand slowly approached the man with a dagger in hand.

"I wouldn't do that if I was you" said a voice from the castle's entrance way. The voice sounded like a man's which was direct and firm. The confused brigand gazed around where he was standing. His gaze suddenly locked onto a shadow standing under the archway of the castle's entrance.

"Who are you? Come on out!" shouted the brigand with a cold stare at the shadowed man. The figure then started to walk down the stairs towards the brigand. The sunlight began to reveal the shadow's true form. The shadow's feet were revealed to be a pair of green boots followed green armor. The last item to be revealed was the man's head and face. The shadow figure was revealed to be the Chief Justice of Sanctus, Spawn. "Ah! Spawn! I thought you were gone for good!" said the brigand who was beyond himself after seeing Spawn.

"I think you should leave now brigand while you still can..." Spawn commanded now standing a few feet away from the two men. The brigand turned to Spawn and began to run at him with his dagger in the air. The Chief Justice then shouted the magic words Vas Ort Flam and Corp Por. The brigand fell to the ground after being hit with an explosion followed by a bolt of pure energy. Spawn's gloved fingers then grabbed the handle of his katana staring at the brigand with his eyes narrowed in case the brigand would attempt another attack.

The wounded criminal stood to his feet and began to run away holding the wounds where he was hit by the spells. After the brigand disappeared into the forest, Spawn walked up towards the elderly man and attended to him.

"T...Thank you M'lord" said the elderly man with a small smile on his face. Spawn tipped his hat towards the man and began to walk towards Hanse's Hostel. "Have you returned to Sanctus Lord Spawn?" asked the man after dusting himself off. Spawn stopped walking for a moment and looked at the man over his shoulder.

"Yes... Yes I have returned" replied Spawn as he gave the man a strong grin. The Chief Justice then looked back in front of him and continued to walk towards the wooden door of the Hostel. The elderly smiled and started to walk towards the mountains now feeling safer now that Sanctus' Justice was back in the city. When he reached the Hostel, Spawn opened the door and entered the establishment to get some rest for he would have a long days work ahead of him.

As the night proceeded, Aerie began to dream. How odd, ordinarily Aerie would not dream. However, tonight was special, although she did not understand. All she realised was she had seen the green hat of her fiance, Spawn. As she came and approached, it disappeared. Confused and alone, Aerie tried despirately to search for the hat. But from out of the shadows, a familiar female voice hissed, "Aerie", followd by a female chuckle. It seemed to be behind her.

As she turned around, her blue eyes widened with fear. A pair of red eyes, the tint of glowing rubies, started back at her. Suddenly, Aerie woke up gasping, sweat dripping down her fair elven features. What did this all mean?? Aerie hurried to her elven dresser and looked in it. Glinting from the darkness of the drawer, a series of tiny red sparkles could be seen. Aerie reached for it. She picked it up, the engagement ring her beloved Spawn gave to her. A familiar feeling of loss had entered her heart. "Where is he?" She thought sadly, a single tear streamed down her cheek. She tucked the ring safely away in the dresser once more, so that she would not lose it.

She then uttered a chant, she spoke the chat 5 times and from out of no where, 5 tiny giggling voices came out, followed by the small buzzing noise of insect-like wings. But these were no insects. Aerie then made her way back to bed, 5 little giggling pixies followed and protected her bed while she tried to sleep again.
