"No..."

...was all he could get out as he watched in horror of the mage's blast to his beloved Synful. She had been smashed into the wall, and through the debree he could only see her lie very still, crumpled on the floor. She did not move. Not at all. Closing his eyes, a tear streamed down his cheek as began to hurt inside. She had summoned him here, and yet he could still not save her. For all he knew, she was as good as dead...

"Haha! What a pathetic wench!", shouted the mage in laughter,"I cannot believe you fell in had feeling for somethign as weak as she! Look at her, she came all this way to face me, and here you are fighting her battle! She can't even hold her own ground, what an ignorant woman..." With that, he held out his hand and animated his very own magical staff into his hand. It was quite large, with large red gem installed on the tip. As he grasped it in his hand, he pointed the staff straight towards Dan and smirked. "This isn't over, boy..."

Having clutched his kryss tight in his hand, he slowly moved his glare to meet the mage's. What kind of man was this, who could have hated and despise his own wife and daughters so wickedly. Truly, such a tyrant demanded what he deserved, and all that Dan could do was imagine how he deserved it. Something set off inside Dan then, some sort of murderous identity that he had not encountered yet. A rage, a rage that burned within him whenever his bloodlust for battle overpowered his mind.

He then turned to fully face the mage, with his dark red kryss in hand, and a new dark look to him. The mage could feel it, but thought nothing of it. Slowly, this new identity of Dan's approached the mage with a quick stride in his step, every reflex urking to set into action he stepped closer and closer to this awfully, villainous man. "You will regret that...",was all he said, with an angry, darker tone in his voice. The mage laughed again, and then with in an instant, launched another blast from his staff. Quick as lightning, Dan ducked and held his fall with his hand, then gave a quick dashing charge towards the mage. He would have gone faster, if his damned mentor's shield wasn't holding him back.

The mage had expected this tactics again, and quickly turned the staff around to point the bottom end towards Dan's direction, as if to thrust it into him. Having a little extra time, he summoned a volley of magic arrows from that end to shoot forth and piece his enemy. Thought the arrows came in fast, there just were not quick enough to touch, or harm, this new opponent of his though.

Having needed the extra boost of speed to startle the mage, Dan let go of his shield and used his decreased drag to slip under the staff and slash the mage's waist. "AAAARRRGGGHHHH", screamed the mage, feeling the cut oh too well, and dropped to a knee as his opponent halted his steps and turned on his heel to face the mage again. A smug smile peeled on Dan's face, as he stepped towards the mage again to give the finishing blow. As he pulled back his kryss for the final thrust, however, lightning streaked across the room and struck Dan in his arm. Almost immediantly, he was slammed back into the a wall, and slumped back. As he could make out from what sense of vision he could spare, he watched on as the mage and some woman embraced. The woman summoned a portal, and then slung the mage's arm over her and helped him inside.

Before they entered though, the mage looked back to his opponent and squinted his eyes at him. "This isn't the last you'll hear of Dorion SilverRose, boy", and then he entered the portal. Hearing his threat, he rose for a crouched stand with a cringe on his face. "I can't let him get away", Dan thought to himself, and with that he scooped up his kryss and leaped into the magical portal as its magics shimmered away...

---

Moments later, SilverFlame entered the complex, and searched it until he found the throne room. There, all he could recognize was the crumpled form of Synful in the corner, and the shield of a warrior. Quickly, he picked up the shield and slung it onto his back, then picked up Synful into his arms and carried him off to camp.

"Get Synful to camp", he ordered one of the men, "It would seem she has scared off her father from his very own castle..." He then looked back to the castle, and before long his men has brought a horse and wagon with pillows that had been looted from the castle to him. He layed Synful down upon the pillows gently, and took a seat next to her as he peered off at the castle once more. "What the hell happened", he wondered to himself...

---

Dan found himself alone, atop the mountain during a blizzard. He was next to the shrine of honesty, kneeling down and holding his wounded arm. The wind was blowing hard, letting his hair flow to the side, and all he could do was but wonder where those two had run off to. He couldn't let a mere lightning bolt stop him from completing his lover's revenge, especially considering the grim price that he assumed she payed.

He had to find them...

...they were on Ice Island...

...........and the hunt was on.

Annawen stepped out of the tent and looked to her lover and his men as they surrounded the huge tent that held their princess,"love how is she?,"he asked as Annawen smiled faintly,"alive...she keeps mumbling something about Dan though...,"she said unaware that when Silver had carried her in he had also carried in Dan's shield and placed it beside the bed.

Silver nodded his head and looked to his lover,"I didn't see anyone but that shield when I went in....,"he said as he then watched one of the handmaidens walk over with their infant daughter and place her within his lover's arms."I don't know what to say about that shield...perhaps Danie will know something about it...,"she said as she nodded to the handmaiden to fetch Danie who was in a tent much like Syn's down near the river.

------

Danie stood outside her tent going over her spellbooks, trying to find a spell that would bring her brother's beloved back unaware that she was indeed alive,"m'lady...Lady Annawen sent me to get you...something about a shield found with Princess Synful...,"she said causing Danie to quirk a brow knowing that Syn never carried a shield only her crossbow and bolts,"lead the way then please..,"she said as she placed her spellbook back within her pack and moved after the handmaiden.

After pushing her way through the soldiers she stopped outside the tent and looked to Annawen ,"is she alive?,"she asked her hands now starting to shake as Annawen nodded and laid Cayenne in her father's arms,"yes...and asking for your brother...,"she said as Danie nodded and waited as Annawen led her into the tent, her face instantly paling as she looked upon Syn's brusied and slightly bloody form.

"Oh Syn....,"she said as she moved to kneel at her side and grasp her hand gently causing Syn to mumble softly but not open her eyes,"Danie...do you know anything about this shield?,"Annawen asked as she moved it closer for Danie to inspect,"thats Dan's where did you get it?!?!?!,"she cried out as she stood up and looked to Annawen as Silver ran in due to the outburst."Silver found it with my sister...but question is..how did it get there...?,"she asked as Danie sighed softly.

"The binding bracelet on Syn's wrist...he has one just like it...,"she said as Syn began to moan and whimper in her sleep,"...no Dan....,"she said as she began to fidget under the blankets then sit up,her face and chest soaked with sweat,"DAN!!!!!"

"Who is that man?" Dorion said as he leaned back on the stone wall, peering out to the snowy blizzard before him. He had taken refuge within a small keep, from which his lover had made into a home after he had given it to her some time ago. His lover, Electra, had been sitting on her bedside, maintaining her focus on her senses. She knew she had to keep Dorion safe, she knew that he was in danger on this island, and it would take some time before she could once again summon a portal to another location and be rid of their predator for good.

Dorion looked back to Electra, and raised a brow. "Answer me", he said coldly. She opened her eyes and looked to him, then rised to her feet, grabbed the crystal ball from the sidetable, and walked up to Dorion and held the crystal ball to up to his face. Muttering a few magical words, she wove her delicate fingers over the crystal ball as splashed a few magic sparkles from her palm. A image began to shudder within the sphere, and before long, it came to focus.

Within the magic ball came the image of a man, a man with a dark expression over his face. His black bandana seems to hide his eyes, from to the point where all they could see what a dim white light from under its shadow. He wore no cloak, no clothing whatsoever, and all he held with him was his dark shadow armor, and a what seemed to be a crimson red kryss in his hand. As the man moved onward under the snowflakes, the kryss began to pulse a soft red glow every 5 seconds. It was...driving him...

...and then in the globe within her hand, the view pulled back as he reached the edge of the cliff, showing him looking off to a small keep in the distance...

...her keep!

---

Dan looked on at the small keep just beyond him, giving a smug grin. It was the only building he had found through his search, and it was time to do a little "investigating". He hopped down the cliff and slid down the slope as the snow held him steady. With another hop at the end, he landed and crouched his knee, somewhat hurt from the impact. The blizzard was taking its toll now, beating down his determination with its ice cold wind, and with that he fell down to the ground, as if had collapsed in the snowy depths. The chill was finally settling in, but he refused to die, if not for his sake than for justice, for Danie, for Syn...

...and as those throughts stirred within his mind, the kryss glowed its red glow again, urging him to move forward, urging him for the kill so that it may taste the blood of Dan's nemesis. He felt this urge, and lifted his head from the snow to look on at the keep again, having it seem so close to as if he could grasp it in his palm. With his spare hand, he reached for the keep, and then adjusted his kryss so that he may thrust it down in the snow and give him the push he needed to make his way forward. Step by step, he rose once again and approached the keep as he was.

---

Dorion gave a look of disgust to the crystal ball, and then looked to Electra and then back out the window. The man was coming, the man that had given him this horrid slash across his gut. Such a man cannot live, such an . . . . . an "equal" as he. Electra looked to Dorion from the ball, and rested her spare hand upon his shoulder. She knew this was quite a change for him, having to hide from someone instead of seeking them out. If only that accursed Synful would have stayed in hiding from him, then things would still be like they were...

...but there was no use wishing for the past. Electra sighed, and looks to the far wall at her glacial staff which had been mounted up. Letting go of Dorion and leaving the crystal ball to levitate in its position, she walked to it, wove her hand upon so that she could move it, and then walked back to Dorion and handed it to him. "Here my love, control the elements of this isle of with the staff. Hold your nemesis off as I call for help, and perhaps we can escape his wretched clutches for good". Dorion looked back to her, and then to the staff. "You have proven your use, my love" he told her, then grabbed the staff. Hearing a few choice words as he gripped her staff, Electra soon began to feel the flesh from her hands and up freeze! She looked to Dorion with desperate confusion, and then screamed as the last of her body was frozen from the staff's power. Dorion held the staff up, and made his way down to exit the keep and confront the man.

"I cannot run knowing such a man co-exists with such power as I. If I am to die, then I am to die to a worthy man"
